TV Shows

Is there anything more terrible than network tv's medical dramas? My g/f loves Grey's, which is fine. It's a stupid show, but it's only an hour out of my week. But now there's some new show called Off The Map which is basically Grey's on a tropical island. I watched a dvr'd episode with her last night. Terrible.

House seems to be the only 1 hour medical show that stepped out of the box and did something different, although I wouldn't call it a drama. Other than that, I'm convinced that the rest of these shows are revolving around scripts that were written 20 years ago and are slightly modified to more modern diolague and problems.

What the farg is wrong with you? Don't watch that crap. Jesus Christ. If she needs to pollute her mind fine, but let her do it without you.

I "watch" Grey's with her as my good boyfriend gesture....it gets me out of doing a lot of other less tolerable stuff, like Valentine's Day. I watch very little of the show anyway, mostly playing games on my ipad or surfing the web, but I'm sitting in the living room with her and can hear what's going on. It sucks, but it's a pretty small price to pay to keep her happy.

Oh, and that new Off The Map show is about 1000x worse, so I shant be watching it again.

While we're all making grand statements about tv show defining our intelligence/standing in the realtionship...

I leave the room now when the ladyfriend is watching something I can't stand. Grey's Anatomy and nearly every reality TV show falls into the category, along with many many other shows. I only started doing this however after years of attempting to ruin her experience watching those shows by mocking everyone and everything. It's so much easier to just let her enjoy her garbage and leave to room to call all of you idiots for half an hour.

I watch Archer reruns when I'm drunk and up late-ish. I think it's hilarious (the creators did Frisky Dingo which is also hilarious) but it isn't the kind of show that I ever remember details about. I couldn't recite my favorite lines after watching an episode but I enjoy it every time.

This would be why i walk out when Jersey Shore is on. I tried the ripping it apart, and she for some reason thought my recaps were hilarious
