that shteins even harder to get into than sports writing. the only way to become a tv critic is to get in at some place and volunteer to do it when the job comes open. thats what i hope to do, but i need to get in at some place first, and the most logical step in that is to run my ass off to southeast texas and put in 2-3 years on a high school football beat.

and yes, nbc is loving this stuff right now. conans ratings are up. the kimmel thing was yet another calculated misstep by leno. he is so delusional that he thinks everyone is laughing with him at this mess, but really letterman, conan, kimmel and the bunch all hate him and think he sucks. he might know this, but he has such a desperate need to be loved that he's almost willingly volunteering to be the butt of the joke so along as he gets mentioned.

then to top that off, he agrees to stab his second colleague in the back to go a host a show nobody thinks hes any good at. all for 30 million dollars he doesnt need. the dude is just off as a person.

more or less official that conan is being bought out (going to get most of whats owed to him--like 25 mil) and will be free to go to fox in the fall. hell do one more week of the tonight show starting monday. this story still has legs and i still have a boner.

Not sure what to think of 24 this season. The same cliches, the same drama, and the same annoying plot points. But it has good action, is tense, has Jack Bauer, and overall some good moments.

I guess with each season, the same old starts to become more and more annoying.

24 is at the end. Since each new story is more or less independent they have a hard time coming up with new ways to save the world each season. I thought Sunday night was pretty zesty but yesterday's episodes were actually pretty good. I doubt they can keep it up over the whole season though (which was the problem last year).

So i just started watching Human Giant replays on Comedy Central, mostly because i hate MTV and refused to watch it on there. Freaking hilarious, the Catch a Predator skit was great.

Can't help it at this point. I've watched 7 seasons of the show. I hope for my sake they stop making it so I'm not complaining about the same shtein in season 12.

I started watching the show "White Collar" recently. It's fairly good but the last episode of the show was like 'what the farg just happened here'. The show got completely turned on its ear.

Done deal now.....Conan's last show is tomorrow. $33M for him + $12M for his staff, and he can negotiate with FOX or anyone else starting in September. Tom Hanks, Will Ferrell and Neil Young are his final guests. Last night he brought back masturbating bear, who NBC didn't allow on the 11:30 show before...
