Father Demon

Dexter is coming back in October.

I watched the season premier of Weeds last night, and I thought it was awful.  It was like watching th eactors/writers/producers mail it in.  I hope it improves -- the first two seasons were great I thought.

Also watched Californication last night.  I dug it -- if not just for the plentiful and bountiful T&A.  Plus, I like the main character trying to get over life by farging every chick he meets.  It cracked me up a few times.
The drawback to marital longevity is your wife always knows when you're really interested in her and when you're just trying to bury it.

I've seen the first 4 episodes of Weeds this season, thought it was still mindless fun ala Entourage.

Californication I really liked. Boobies aside, it was down to earth and funny. The  Duchov rules, too.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

It was never good. It didn't make one ounce of sense. Now make those god damn Deadwood movies.

I liked that about it. Made you think about what John was saying. The finale was good and the characters grew on me. That I used to surf many of those beaches didn't hurt either.

I really enjoyed it, too. I'm not a surfer (bad for me in hindsight)...but like you said, the cerebral aspect of the show was off the charts. There's too much dumbed-down crap on the tube. It was nice to have something thought provoking, at least for a while.

Where JFC was heading:
Quote9-11-14

According to David, 9-11-14 deals with a story line in which there was going to be a attempt of a genocide against the Muslims. "Those towel heads are going to get themselves eradicated." The whole purpose of John's visit was to create an "army" to prevent this from happening.

Cissy is the glue of a family that no matter how Fed up it gets, she protects it and keeps it together. She would be the glue that holds the purpose, the army of those against the genocide together.

Cass is the visionary who is also the media to get the word out that danger is lurking.
Mitch was the spokesman (PSA's) who would do the talking, there by getting back into the game.

Linc is the corporation and money who the world would take seriously and listen to. He is the spin doctor.
Barry, Ramon and ****tein are the three wise men, brought together at the Snug Harbor, a scruffy dirty place sort of like a barn were a young Jesus now lives.
Shaun is a Jesus.

Freddy and Palaka are warriors to do battle against the enemy.

Bill is the law, and a General.

Doc, well, he's the doctor who initially was going to help the poor from latiin America. Joe was going to smuggle them into the country for Doc to work on. There was once a whole story point about the Doc helping children with hairlip malformations.

tid bit: During the "parade" there was a man on the side walk who told Tina that he would **** to her movies. That was an incarnate of Mr. Rollins. When John started talking back to him, berating him, Mr. Rollins was suppose to turn into a pile of dust. Digitally of course.

See, that's the way the show was canceled. It was stupid.

Genocide against the muslims should be a jews dream show.

It was canceled because it didn't have enough car chases and crime scenes.

The story line is intriguing, but I can only imagine how long Milch would have taken to get there. That's also part of the reason it failed: the plot was too convoluted and slow for the average TV viewer.

i never watched one second of  jfc.....but i dont understand why hbo cancels shows after one or even two seasons...they dont have advertisers to worry about and maybe once in a blue moon will they have a show that causes anyone to subscribe to hbo in its first season...and jfc certainly isnt one of them....so why not give it another year or two

True. They could even move it to an odd schedule and let the fans timeshift it via DVR or something like that. I'm wondering if Milch pissed off somebody at HBO.

MDS

Because it's expensive to produce and not enough people give it shtein if its gone.

the amount of people watching has no correlation to how much it costs hbo to make a show...that is until a show has proven it cannot attract subscribers...i dont think one season is enough to know that
