My next step is to watch an episode of the Wire

I find that each season started off slow, so you might be turned off by the first episode of season 1, which was a little boring.

The house I'm in now needed renovations when we bought it.  It had red carpet throughout the house.  I'm talking Santa Claus suit, fire engine red.

Anyway, we started ripping up the carpet and sure enough there was the most amazing oak floors throughout the house.

The problem was, in some parts the wood was destroyed by pets in the past, so that shtein was torn out, replaced with new subfloors and carpeted over.  The remaining 1/3 of the house still has the original hardwood floors that I refinished myself before moving in.

i got the same thing...my house is close to 100 years old and i ripped up the carpet in my living room and i have original hardwood, the thin boards.

i rented a sander from Home Depot and was a man for a few hours that weekend
