ice grillin you

elp is sickening...hasnt made anything remotely dope since funcrusher
i can take a phrase thats rarely heard...flip it....now its a daily word

igy gettin it done like warrick

im the board pharmacist....always one step above yous

Granted nothing will replace funcrusher, but he has evolved.

Fantastic Damage I think is a great album. Hard to get into if you're not an El-P fan...but most of the tracks on that album are dope, different from what one would expect on funcrusher.

He was more raw early on. It seems as though he's put more thought and meaning into his later shtein.

T.O.J. and stepfather factory on Fantastic Damage are pretty deep.

For you El-P fans....

He has at least 4 old tracks if you can even get your hands on them....

7 Notas, 7 Colores (a rap group from spain) feat. El-P- Brooklyn to Barcelona  :yay :yay :yay :yay :yay

Latyrx feat. El-P: Looking over a city  :yay :yay :yay :yay

El-P: Trapped in 3-Dimensions    :yay :yay :yay :yay :yay  (remnants of his old shtein)

And there's this one called 'A day like no other'   :yay :yay :yay :yay :yay Dope as farg.

I'll let ya'll know how the show goes. It's rare for him to come out this way. I'm glad I caught wind in time.

El Producto is toasty!

My favorite pre-2000 work of his other than Funcrusher and maybe "Suzy Pulled a Pistol on Henry" is a remix of Mike Ladd's "Bladerunners" that showed up on some compilations. The "spacey noise" matches the rhymes a lot better than the original production, which was one of the weaker tracks on that Ladd album.

Personally I like a lot of his production, like his stuff for Mr. Lif and Cannibal Ox. When it doesn't work it tends to really not work though.

Philly has had a huge lacking in concerts lately. everyone stays clear of philly, apparently due to venue owners who demand more money and less for artists. thats fargin lame.

Lots of venues are asking for large percentages of the merch that artists sell at their venues too. That's why T-Shirts cost you 40 bucks at a concert. There's really just a huge lacking of concerts in general now a days. Unless you got 200 bucks a seat to drop on the Police.  ::)
