6 years/$100M for Carlos Lee is the definition of lunacy.

Sheer unadulterated idiocy.  It makes the Juan Pierre deal seem fiscally prudent by comparison.  WTF is Houston thinking?

Houston's latest offer to Lee is 5/$73M
So they added the final year for $27M. Can't say I like the deal, although he's already the 2nd best hitter on the team.

Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

He's decent but coming off an injury. Lefty with a nice breaking ball. Fastball usually tops out in the 88-90 range. Expect 8-10 wins and a mid 4.00 ERA from him.

He returned in July from Tommy John surgery and could barely complete 6 innings.  Usually the 2nd year back is when pitchers get back to original form.  He's OK, nothing awesome.  He can hit and run pretty good for a pitcher.  He had the "Wolf Pack" here in Philly where a group of fans wore werewolf masks.

And fell in love with some random chick on the subway in NYC and we were subjected to interviews and stories about it for weeks. He never talked to her but was obsessed and they put out a plea to her and she never contacted him. Gay stuff.
