Billy Wags blows save, costs Mets the game....

I remember at phils games Wagner getting close to 100 on the gun.  I dont think he's thrown one over 95 in his first two appearances.  Does it take him some time to get warmed up, warmer weather?  Or is he jsut old.

Could be a combination of being early season and perhaps the Mets using a slow gun.

Wagner does turn 35 this year, so he could lose 1-3 mph in the next year or two, but I doubt he's lost five this soon.

I tell ya, Romey, I was all aghast at the Devil Rays moniker...

OK, I was more laughing at a stupid team name, but Tarpons?  Why not the Sharks?  Crocs?  Brown Bears? 

Of course, my high school was the Whippets and the school I work at is the Mighty Blue Herons.  :-D
