Logistically they need 2 new corner outfielders. Dellucci got everyone creamin their pants because he got real hot right when the team got hot and Abreu got traded, but in reality he's a mediocre starter and good reserve/platoon player. He will get offers to start elsewhere by virture of his stats, though. So he's gone. Burrell is done. Conine is a perfect reserve option for next year. He can play corner OF and 1st.

Soriano? I'd throw him a shteinload, but I think he wants to go play 2nd somewhere. They definatly need someone to hit 5th. Burrell aint that guy, either is Conine. Neither is Dellucci. So we'll see. But let's wait for them to choke this year before we talk shop next year.

Only way I would get rid of Rowand is if they get another corner OF, like Mr. I'm In College And Still Go To Summer Camps says.

Need more power from your corner outfielders. That is unless they get Soriano. Then you need to get a power hitting 3B. No, Aramis Rameriz isn't happening. Phillies will not invest heavily in 3B or C with all the young talent they have there. Victorino in center (Bourn as his backup, kid can play) and 2 new corners. Soriano means Rollins goes to 6. That's actually where he fits in best.

Insert Name Here - 3B
Rollins - SS
Rowand - CF
Coste/Ruiz/whatever veteran they bring in - C

Or if they don't get a power 3B and somehow get Soriano (doubtful, he'll want a ton) then he hits 5th to protect Howard.
