MDS

would probably be out of it with just 1 if:

1. rowand didnt throw to the wrong base
2. manuel wasnt such a turd
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Rowand was alright with his throw. I think the reason he went to Rollins was that he got it hung up in his glove, and it was still a close play at second.

Little bummed to see him taken out, but he was closing in on a hundred throws, so keeping him fresh and confident makes sense. The BP can (:paranoid) handle it from here.

Coming off the shoulder soreness, the Phils are not going to take any chances.

Madson isn't around to blow the game for Cole. Kid should get his first win.

Victorino finally gets an at bat in the 9th and nails a two run shot.  Just absolutely murdered it, almost no arc to it at all. Ha. 10-1 Bums.  :yay

Franklin in to close it.

Rome

90 pitches for Hamels, 64 of them strikes.

Only two strikeouts but he was pretty dominating last night.

Nice to see the Phillies win a laugher for a change and it's even nicer to see Burrell & Abreu carry the load instead of Utley & Howard (even though Howard had a nice night too).

PS: WTF happened to Russ Ortiz?  He was lights-out in Atlanta and now he looks like total crap.   :-D

well lets see how the greatest pitcher ever handles a bit of a jam.

actually i was pissed at manual for taking him out when he did...let him pitch through the inning. he needs to get out of jams completely...he needs to grow.

the guy is really good...but it's time to stop babying him.

he overall needs to slow down a little...man he works really fast, the camera kept cutting to him when he was half way through his windup. good to get his 1st win though :yay

He wasn't being coddled...he was in his first game back from shoulder soreness.

it was a good move taking him out. He was on 90+ pitches, the managers probably saw some fatigue in his technique and didnt want to take any chances. Trying to test your 2nd best (maybe your best) pitchers psyche on his 1st game back from injury is completely pointless...he'll get his chance to get out of a jam..... trust me, its the Phillies

yeah, i agree with that.  i thought the same thing during his 1st inning warmups, he was really flying through them
I'm the Anti-Christ. You got me in a vendetta kind of mood.

Apparently the D'Backs don't have anyone to pitch for them tonight. Probably calling someone up. Phils better be all that ass today. Anyone know who is pitching Friday against the Nats?
