As soon as the shock wears off I think I might be able to muster up a prop or two for Lifeless Patty. I really enjoyed his post game interview on CSN. A beaut. He's looking around for a shaving cream pie that never came. And he wouldn't look into the camera and had as much personality as a dead catfish.

They sure as hell tried to piss that one away though. Conine dropping that ball? Holy shtein.

I think he is more comfortable not looking into the camera, it seems like he does that in most interviews.  He looked like he aged 10 years.

Lakewood won the South Atlantic League title last night.  hooray minors


Today's game is on FOX in eastern PA and all of Texas except Dallas, San Antonio and El Paso.  Scott Graham/Lou Piniella announcing.  1-2-3 top of the 1st vs Hirsh.  Also, Pettitte was scratched for tomorrow's start and Wandy Rodriguez will pitch instead...

Evidently, no one up there cares, and I can't get the @(*@*(#&@(* game because of the MLB-Fox exclusivity agreement and the nations fetish-like attraction to all things Yanks-Sawx, but Cole Hamels took a no-hitter into the 7th inning.  That's gone now, but the Phils are still up 6-1.

Just did a run through for the wild card teams. Came out to 86 wins for the Phils, which would actually win them the wild card by 1 game over San Diego. I figured the Phils would lose tommorrow, sweep either the Cubs or Nationals, take 2/3 in the other 3 series and win the make up game with Houston. That comes out to 86 wins. Of course, choke factor can't be really added in.

I really do expect San Fran, Florida and Cinci to drop out little by little. It'll be between us and San Diego, and the playoff game would be here. I can smell a trip out to LA for a series with the Dodgers. Or to Heaven. Either one.
