Are the Fightins really about to sweep the Cardinals in three dominating games?

Payback for the beginning of the season.

And apologies to FS64 because I know he's a Red Birds fan and he's cool (wheres he been lately, by the way?), but I hate those STL fans. Pompous bastiches. Welcome to heaven, they say. They even put upa sign thanking the Philly fans for Scott Rolen.

LaRussa bothers me too.

Roberson INF RBI single.

7-1 Phils

PhillyPhreak54

Another hit for Chase

8-1 Phils.

Rome

I agree about LaRussa.

I swear, when Utley came up last night for his sixth at-bat, they were showing LaRussa on camera, and for a second, I thought he was going to put up four fingers to put Utley on.

I can't stand that dick and I agree about the first series of the season too.  I was at opening day and it was brutal watching the Cards destroy the Phillies.  Just hang in there and sweep those fargers.

Although in fairness to Tony he had them pitch to Jimmy so he could extend his streak earlier.

I still want to read that Buzz Bissinger book where hehas all access to the team. I can't remember the name of it I think its 3 nights in August or something like that.

Now we go to NYC to take on the Mets. How sweet it'd be to sweep thos bums too.

The Cardinals announcers just put up a graphic for the series:

Phillies:  29 runs, 45 hits, 0 errors
Cards:  12 runs, 17 hits, 6 errors

Some clue me in to how this pack of losers is less than 3 games from a playoff berth?
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Clearly Abreu and Liddle were the only two cancers in the club house, and now that they have been excised its glory road.

Pat Burrell is a loser. He sucks. Why isn't Victorino playing for him?

Clearly Burrell was being overly influenced by Abreu.  Now that Abreu is gone its glory road for both Pat and the Phils.
