your lame attempts at sarcasm still don't cover the fact that you are 100% wrong when you say Charlie isn't a terrible manager.

please find me the post where i said Charlie is the cause of all the poor plays during every game.  i never said that.

what i have said is that he's a terrible manager.  he doens't know how to set a lineup, he can't manage a bullpen and he's retarded when it comes to late-game manuevers.

but caps lock away.

Burrell just went yard.  Nice shot.

Hey Peter, turn it to channel 6. Theyre doing the breast exams.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

SunMo

monster shot by Fasano, only a few pitches after he tried to kill a kid in the stands with his bat

Sal Fasano hit a 2-run HR to left.  5-3

Future HOFer Jimmy Rollins 3 for 3 on the night.

Wingspan

and no one did a damn thing after that inning.

but that was all charlie's fault.

Not this weekend.  I really thought it would be tonight.  Four games into this and I'm already depressed.

We kind of stink," Manuel said. "We got to get better."

"We're in a little funk," Manuel said. "It seems we can't get going, but we have a much better club than that. We're going to win some games and we're going to compete."

Man, what an outlook from our lovely manager. Thanks for wanting to compete Charles, I guess thats all we can ask from ya

:flipoff

Once again the hate towards Charlie is pouring in. And once again, I don't understand it. As I said before, he got much better last year after learning the NL game.

I didn't hear anyone trippin when Jim Leyland (aka God in Philadelphia) said that he had no clue about the AL game when the Tigers hired him. But Charlie needs half a season to learn the NL and everyone rips him. And he's mostly ripped because he is a good ol' boy who talks like the southerner he is. Wow. I can see why he should be killed.

The quicker you guys realize that it is the PLAYERS who have to produce, the quicker you might realize that Charlie isn't as bad as you all think/want him to be.

So what if he has Howard hitting 6th? Where else is he going to hit? And I know the anti-Abreu's will chirp about leading Bobby off but you DO NOT take a run producer out of the middle of your line-up.

And let's for arguments sake they DID lead Bobby off. That STILL doesn't solve the fact that Pat Burrell loves to swing at 2-0 pitches after the guy before him walked. That STILL doesn't explain why Utley grounded into a DP and killed a rally. That STILL doesn't explain why, after the mini-rally, the Dodgers BP retired SIXTEEN STRAIGHT BATTERS.

And leading Bobby off and putting Utley in the two or three spot would NOT solve the huge problems named David Bell and Mike Lieberthal.

Until Burrell learns some discipline, until Bell and Lieby are outta here and until the offense gets consistent efforts by individuals the offense will continue to struggle regardless of HOW Charlie constructs the line-up.

So look at the players. I know its easy to rip the old redneck, but jeez. Open your eyes and watch the games.

Floyd was hurt tonight in the first by Howards error. That extended the inning and allowed 2 to score. And Fasano's brainfart of throwing to 3rd to get Navarro out when Tomko bunted cost them as well. If those plays are made, Floyd goes longer.

At least Santana, Fultz and Franklin threw well. But that won't last long if the BP has to pitch 5 innings every goddamn night.

Phreak, its the managers job to put his players in a POSITION to win at all times. I understand the players go thru hitting funks, strike-out, errors, etc...but so does every other MLB team. The way he sets the line-up puts his players in a position to lose at the end of the game..when it matters the most during close games. The other managers know to put a friggin left-handed pitcher in at the end when Charlie has 3 or 4 left handers up to bat. Lets not get into the substitutions he makes, we could be here all night.

You might be the only person in all of Philadelphia and in the league that thinks hes doing a good job as MLB manager.....hes functioning on an IQ that is 5 degrees lower than whale $htein.

no one is blaming everything on charles...but good lord if you cant see that he is totally incompetant then you need help....if he was fired tomorrow the team wouldnt be a playoff contender but it would be a good start in that direction
