Wow. So much has happened since last night.

1. So Brett Myers spent some time in the clink, eh? I do not condone whuppin up on a woman, but its women like her who make me not care about them being battered. Hey dumbass...you called 911 and had him arrested, right? Why go post his bail hours later?

Its just like when I see guys who are locked up for domestic violence. They get sent to jail, do some time, the wife gets a protection order against them and guess who is waiting to pick up Mr. Inmate when he gets released? The wife who was knocked around.

And you see some chicks who get the tar beaten out of them and refuse to leave the guy. Its their fault after the first time.

2. Rick White? Rick motherfarging White?!?!?! He farging sucks. Terrible.

3. Oh yeah, they played a game. Wait. Was it really a game? Ha! What a group of losers.

Goddamn bums.

regardless if it's the "womans fault" myers is a prick. and i don't want him on the phils anymore (but the phils being a front office of Hoydas won't do anything about it.

from the outside, its easy to think that way. but i do a lot of volunteer work for groups that get women out of situations like that. and it's amazing to me the total amount of fear that iceholes like myers put into women. they are convinced that the way to make it stop is to make them happy, they feel that if they do leave, they will only be attacked harder...it's total fear for their lives.

myers is a despicable human being...farg him.

i hope that peice of trash pops a few ligaments in his arm.

baseball pet peeve #1

the rule that says you have to take 3-0...rowand has two outs on him and a runner at second and a 3-0 count...why not take a hack to get the run home...might be your only chance with two outs on the board...instead he takes a pitch then walks and it brings paplebon in the game

the phillies best players wish they had one ounce of the blood that runs thru david ortiz veins

instead they have mutts like chase utley...something is seriously worng when hes your 'clutch' player...hes no different than burrell abreu or anyone else...well maybe burrell hes the biggest dog ive seen in a long long time...but anyway utleys numbers are just as hollow as all the rest...yet hes tough and clutch...farg that shtein...

Utley is in a bad slump right now, no doubt.

Sunday's Inquirer says the Tigers are interested in Abreu...

Wingspan

you know what i would love to see...abreu goes to the tigers, where he hits leadoff for jim leyland...and the tigers win the series.

I just don't understand the thought process though. Stay with the guy and get the snot beaten out of you or leave him and not have to make up excuses as to why you have a shiner or your lip is fat. And I don't buy the fear thing either. What would I fear more?

Getting whupped on or leaving the person and being single? And if the woman is afraid of being single then she has deeper issues.

Another thing that pisses me off about these domestic violence issues, well two actually;

1. All a woman has to do to ruin a guys life is to cry domestic violence. How many times have you see where something goes down, a big argument or something, where no punches are thrown but the guy pushes the lady to get away? Or some little contact like that? She dials 911 and the cops show up and arrest the guy. Once you have a domestic violence arrest hanging around your neck, you're done in a lot of fields of work. And in law enforcement or any career where you have to handle firearms you're done.

I had a Sgt. in Texas who had this happen to him. One of the nicest guys you'd ever meet. He gets into an argument with his old lady and she hits him. He then shoves her away and they lock him up.

2. And this is where the other thing comes into play...some women will not hesitate to take a swing at their man. Some feel that they can swing and not get into trouble. All they have to do is cry to the cops and the guy is hauled off.

Once again...I do not condone any of this crap. But I've seen it up close and personal and I will never understand why a woman will stay with a guy who unloads on her. Fear schmear. If he hits you, leave his ass. If you stay with him then it is no ones fault other than yours if it happens again.

But Chase is totally gritty and clutch and he hustles!

This entire team is at fault for the way they have played. No one is exempt from ciriticism. No one. Howard's defense is atrocious. Utley is slumping. Abreu's defense is terrible. Burrell is still a K machine and cannot drive the ball unless he pulls it. Bell is shtein. I could go on.

What could the Tigers give for Bobby A?

They have some nice young pitching. But would Bobby go to Detroit?

QuoteChris Coste hit a one-out single up the middle. Jimmy Rollins followed with a double off the Green Monster in left-center. Centerfielder Coco Crisp held up his glove as if he had a chance to make the catch. Coste bought the fake and slowed before he reached second base.

If Coste had kept running and reached third by the time Crisp, who doesn't have a strong arm, played the ball off the wall, third-base coach Bill Dancy might have sent him home.

Instead, the Phillies had runners on second and third. Chase Utley then bounced a ball to shortstop Alex Gonzalez, and Coste, who was running on contact, was easily thrown out at the plate. Rollins stayed at second, which had the coaches in the dugout going nuts.

"He has to come over on that play," manager Charlie Manuel said. "That's how you play the game."

Rollins explained.

"It's in front of me," he said. "I'm in [Gonzalez's] line. I don't want to run, have him catch the ball, tag me, and still have a chance to go home. I was going to stay. That doesn't win or lose the game right there. We still had the bases loaded with the opportunity to win the game. We had a couple opportunities, but if they want to glare at that, that's fine."

Manuel said afterward that he isn't losing his patience, but he is tired of excuses.

"Do it," he said. "You're supposed to get it done. When you start saying why - why you didn't do something, why I didn't throw the ball here, why I didn't cover first base, why I didn't hit the cutoff - it's not why. Why isn't in the game. You do it. You're supposed to do it. That's one of our problems. I can say that very honestly. I don't make excuses for nothing, and I never will. We're supposed to get it done. We're a major-league baseball team, and you don't have to explain why you didn't do something."

Is he hearing too many excuses and not enough accountability? What does he want to hear?

"I want to hear we'll get it done," he said.

Excellent statement by Charlie.

And like Ken Rosenthal said on FOX, the SP's ERA and the lack of hitting with RISP is not the managers fault.

That goes back to what I say to those who want Charlie gone -- its the players. Anyone who can't see that is blind as farg. Basically the same core group of bums did the same shtein under Bowa. The only difference is instead of making excuses about why they didn't do something in the game, they whined and pisses and moaned about Bowa.

SunMo

Chase Utley's in a slump so all of the sudden he's never been anything and he's not clutch.

Utley is more clutch than Bobby A could ever dream about being, not like Bobby dreams about that stuff, because he doesn't care if they win or lose, just so he gets his numbers.  Oh, and Bobby's awful defense has led people to not realize that he's having a bad offensive year.  .290 average and 8 HR from your 3 hole hitter?  That's awful.  Oh wait, he walks a million times, just what you want from you third hitter.
I'm the Anti-Christ. You got me in a vendetta kind of mood.
