Some people are saying Mets fans took over the ball park, others say they barely saw any Mets fans there if any.

I'll believe the latter. Mets fans aren't die-hard enough to travel.

For the love of God, dude.  Stop.

its not traveling. about the same ny-area mets fans go to citty as phillies fans go to shea. its these mid-jersey and other local mets fan who are afraid to go to queens (or in fact live closer to philly than to nyc), and instead infultrate citty bank. its bad, but its the way it goes.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Here's a thought, Charlie. find pitcher who can give up less than 4 runs a game.

After Pat's 2nd HR....zero hits and 13 in a row retired

They did the same goddamn thing in Washington the other night. After Washington tied it back at 8 the Nats retired 18 Phillies in a row.

Pathetic.

at this point its the principle of it phreak...the team has given up and blatantly disrespect the manager...are they gonna magically make the playoffs if hes fired...of course not....but it will show that someone somewhere cares that this team stinks and doesnt play the game the right way...not to mention in game managing will automatically improve as well

I hear ya, man. I really do.

But we heard the same stuff after Francona was fired and Larry was hired. And then we heard the same thing when it was time for Larry to go. Even though I though Larry should've been given more time and some time without Ed Wade there, in the end you had to fire him because you couldn't fire the 25 crying pansies who bitched and moaned when Larry rolled his eyes, sighed too loudly or god forbid ripped into their asses for being inept.

Want to show that someone cares and wants to change?

Not only do you fire Charlie, but you do not put in some lackey to replace him for the rest of the year. You do what the Marlins did in 2003 when they shtein canned Jeff Torborg and hired Trader Jack. I don't want Gary Varsho managing. Nor do I want the Phillies MB's cult hero Marc Bombard.

And after you get rid of Charlie you bring in Lou Piniella. Or Davey Johnson.

And then, if I am Pat Gillick, I start getting rid of the TRASH on this team. And I do whatever it takes, sans trading Utley, Howard, Hamels or Myers, to get Dontrelle Willis.

how bad could the phils have used padilla this year....hes having a better season than any phils starter

Vincente is 6-4 with a 4.65 ERA in 81.1 IP, he's given up 81 hits, K'd 67, and walked 38

Myers is 4-3 with a 3.86 ERA in 86.1 IP, he's given up 90 hits, K'd 66, and walked 27
I'm the Anti-Christ. You got me in a vendetta kind of mood.

yeah...but look at run support, Myers has the worst in the league.

he's been awful the past two games, but overall this season, he's been good enough to have more than 4 wins.

all the rest of the numbers are close enough that 6>4 means everything

padilla>any phillies starter this year...period

im sure at the end of the year when myers is 11-10 he really should have had 20 wins

and even if if any of the above were not true the bottom line is they could use padilla badly right now and they gave him away for less than nothing

IGY loves him sum overblown exaggeration, and he always catches fishies on his line.

BigEd76

Why are people still upset about losing Padilla?  The guy was a nut case and needed to go...
