I hate amusement parks, they frighten me.
I'm not afraid of the roller coasters, just the black people.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

Starting a new job Monday. Plan to sublet a room for 2-3 mths before I find apartment w/ gf. Finding one was impossible, and finally guy on cragslist gets back to me. Shows me pics of room, good enough for temporary housing, place is in a nice town and close to work. I send a month's rent. I got here earlier and the place is a complete shteinhole. My room is fine, but the rug's pretty dirty. The kitchen is filthy and I'm not even going to try to cook here. I don't even want to store stuff in the fridge. I would have just turned around and left if I didn't need a place to stay. I'm pissed as hell.

So. What kinds of stuff can I eat that don't need cooking and could be stored at room temp? Fruits, granola bars, pbj sandwiches, nuts, tuna. I'll probably wind up eating out most days but I eat ~3000-3500 calories a day and if I fill it up that's going to be $300 a week on food

Read this.

I've read stories before - especially around his execution - that said he was innocent. I remember him when I worked there and he was pretty calm and laid back.

And this is why I've lightened my stance on the death penalty. I still believe in it for some cases but even though I believe in it's limited use it must be tabled until a better system is figured out.

There is literally no excuse for the death penalty.  It is state sponsored murder, period.

And before some dick says, "yeah, but they deserve it."  Yes, I agree.  Some people deserve to get the hot shot or be tortured to death for their sickening crimes.  I'm not denying that at all.  What I'm saying is a society has no moral or ethical right to end the lives of its citizens and there is no yeah but's either.  It's not a deterrent and it's savage barbarism at its worst.

id love for my tax dollars to not go to keeping jerry sandusky alive and fed
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

If somebody raped and killed my kid they wouldn't have to worry about the state sponsoring the murder.

Me too, Yeti.   I'm fine with individuals being in the vengeance biz, just not the State.

As usual you have no idea what you're talking about.
