Pretty much. There's a decent chance it's just sitting in the car. I would call Hertz back and tell them that there is tracking on the ipad and that you think it's still where you left it. Unless someone picked it up without trying to turn it on (which i would highly doubt).

I'd go to Reagan at 5:30 and just wait and make sure someone knows you're there so some low man on the totem pole doesn't just walk with it.

what you said about it still being in the car is making me feel a bit better though

edit: just thought of something - what if someone took it, factory reset it and made it their own? would it still be trackable with my phone?

I'm downstairs on the laptop and my girl comes in from work, says hi, and goes upstairs. She then shouts from the upstairs bathroom, 'Did you forget something?' I shouted back, 'Did they come back up? I flushed the toilet twice earlier, I thought they went down'. She says, 'No, you left the lube on the counter. Pervert!'

speaking of rentals...i rented a car to take my road trip yesterday to Blacksburg, VA.  i specifically reserved an economy car because i wanted something small with good gas mileage because i wanted to spend less on gas than i would taking my truck.

i get there yesterday and all they have is a 2011 Mitsubishi endeavor which gets just about the same highway mileage as my truck.  and then, to top it off, as i get down the road i realize that there is not ipod plug in anywhere.  no aux jack, no usb jack, nothing.  how does a 2011 model anything not at least have an auxilary jack.  so, it was 7 hours one way of flipping radio stations to find something to keep me from blowing my brains out.
