MRSA ain't no joke. That shtein is very popular in the prisons because of the conditions there. I've seen a few guys in the past come down with that and they look like they're going to die.

I had a nasty infection from a spider bite I got in the field.  Cellulitis was the diagnosis and they put me on Septra & Keflex and made a point of telling me not to drink a drop of liquor while I was taking the medicine.

Care to elaborate on the type of spider?

I hate my farging life, came home after 9 hours in the office, and painted for the past 5 hours.  On top of that my farging AC died tonight, and its 82 degrees in here, farg

Damn that sucks, I just had to turn my AC up a bit because it's so damn cold in here.

Never saw the spider, actually.  Based on the bite the doctor assumed it was a spider.  We were in a rural section of the county at the time it happened, so it made sense.  I noticed the bite when I got back to the office but didn't think anything of it at the time.  I put some neosporin on it when I got home, then a couple of days later I woke up with a swollen foot and a 102 temperature.

Being laid up sucks, though.  I hate not being able to do shtein at work because the eight hours I'm there drags and drags without stuff to do.  It's not like when I used to work for myself when I could just up and leave whenever I wanted.  I'm stuck there 8 to 5 no matter what.

The effects of combining antibiotics and alcohol can vary, depending on the specific antibiotic.

Alcohol doesn't diminish the effectiveness of most antibiotics. However, antibiotics and alcohol can cause similar side effects, such as stomach upset, dizziness and drowsiness. When you combine antibiotics and alcohol, these side effects may increase.

A few antibiotics — such as metronidazole (Flagyl), tinidazole (Tindamax) and trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole (Bactrim) — should not be mixed with alcohol because this may result in a more severe reaction. Drinking any amount of alcohol with these medications can result in side effects such as flushing, headache, nausea and vomiting, rapid heart rate, and shortness of breath. Keep in mind that some cold medicines and mouthwashes also contain alcohol. So check the label and avoid such products while taking these antibiotics.

Rarely, alcohol can reduce the effectiveness of certain antibiotics — such as doxycycline (Vibramycin, Doryx) — which means a higher dose may be required to achieve the same treatment benefit.

Keep in mind that alcohol can reduce your energy and delay how quickly you recover from illness. So, it may be best to avoid alcohol until you have finished your antibiotics and are feeling better.

Bob Novak hit a pedestrian today in D.C. while driving his 2004 Corvette at low speeds.  Pedestrian went to hospital but is fine.  Anyone else not feel so great about a 77 year old dude driving a Corvette?

So i have the A/C people coming out today, found out this morning when i checked my a/c unit that the fan inside it isnt working.  Any idea what the name of that is, and how much it will cost to fix.

might not be the fan Sea--it could be the fuse connection behind your panel on the wall (red and black wires). They could very well just replace it and cost you 75 bucks

the thing is i can hear electricity going to the fan(a low hum), or at least to the unit, but there isnt any movement.
