The only time I use my hazards is when my vehicle is stopped on the road.  If the vehicle is moving, then hazards are not warranted imho.

But wouldn't that make you late for bingo, Edith?

I often put my hazards on when braking suddenly on the freeway, to let people know they have to stop short.

But, admittedly, I am a golden god.

I just love to see idiots in SUVs all cracked up in foul weather...they think they're invincible and they drive like it...iceholes

real simple, folks.  when it's snowing icing sleeting etc....slow down, increase following distance, don't brake accelerate or turn suddenly....you don't have to grow up in New England to know this shtein.

Just came back from voting. Didn't have my chains in the truck. Could have made some money on the way back. A Lincoln Navigator was friggen' buried in a ditch not far from my neigborhood. Some people think that owning an SUV is a license to drive like idiots in bad weather. They have more money than brains.

Actually, if you are going significantly slower than the normal traffic flow, I think you're required to put on the flashers. But I understand where you're coming from.

On a related note, what gets me is the people who, when it's almost dark, put on their parking lights, but not their headlights. Like they're saving the headlights for something really important.

I've done that several times while towing something.  Usually it's only going up or downhill though.

I've got the farging flu.

I started feeling it last Thursday where my whole body felt like it was hit by Wingspan's car while he was doing 70mph. I finally went to see the doc on Monday and I still feel like shtein today. I hope this doesn't turn into pneumonia. A day off here and there is good, but I hate sitting around the house doing nothing for days.

Speaking of the doctor; does any of y'alls insurance companies make you reach a deductible amount before they start to pay anything? My trip to the doc on Monday cost me $200. My company's medical plan requires us to pay the first $500 out of pocket and only then do they cover the fees and shtein. So until I accumulate 500 this year, no co-pay. When I was in PA I had Blue Cross and it was straight co-pay.

I would like to look for alternative health insurance options, but dont even know where to look. Is it expensive? Which companies should I look into?

Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

In all seriousness, two things:

1. Deductible plans are the wave of the future.  Many companies offer them as a lower monthly/yearly cost option.
2. Don't bother looking for alternate insurance if you already have something subsidized by your company.  Any idea what health insurance costs when it's not subsidized?

Actually, that's the wave of the past.  HMO & PPO were created to encourage preventive medicine as a cheaper alternative to critical care.  Guess that isn't working out so well.

Amen - you don't want to go it alone.
An ad hominem fallacy consists of asserting that someone's argument is wrong and/or he is wrong to argue at all purely because of something discreditable/not-authoritative about the person or those persons cited by him rather than addressing the soundness of the argument itself.
