How can anyone be upset at foaming soap in rest rooms?

Best invention since Napalm, IMO.

Harding was beyond corrupt, but he didn't spend a trillion dollars and cost over 10,000 iraqi lives, over 5,000 american lives on a purposeless and meaningless war. he also didnt not even try to catch the man reasponsible for the most catostrophic day in american history, and also didnt lit a major american city sit in ruins for two days before bothering to do something about it.

worst. president. ever.

Not according to this.

BTW...I always liked what Harding's father was quoted as saying about him.   :-D

that list had william henry harrison who shouldnt even be considered a president. otherwise, it was chock full of pro-slavery morons. great. yes, they sucked. but bush is radically unpopular and has done decisivley more bad than good. his presidency is a jumbled mess and he abuses his power.

so people whose actions eventually lead to the civil war are considered one of the worst, but not someone who is ultimatley reasponsible for over 60,000 lost lives...a number that will surely reach 100,000 by the end of the his reign of terror. its debatable and argueable who is the worst, but most of those presidents had 1 overlining horrible deed. bush has many, most importantly illegally invading a country and ignoring the destruction of a major american city. oh yea, and 9/11 (though others are to blame for that, as well).

A lot of things are going to have to shake out before we can put Bush into any kind of historical perspective.

Also, 60,000 (or 100,000) is a drop in the bucket when compared to other wars in our history.  Heck, even to compare with the Vietnam War, where nearly 60,000 AMERICANS died (as well as 100,000s of thousands of Vietnamese on both sides), a lot more is going to have to happen.

I am not really trying to defend GWB, and he'll more than likely be rated in the bottom tier of presidents, but to say he is the worst ever is premature at best.  We can't even truly slot Clinton yet, and can only begin to slot Reagan.

Father Demon

And to take the Devil's Advocate on that, without knowing how much GOOD Bush did this country won't be known for decades.  So, all those that blast him as th worst ever, or one of the worst ever, are very, very premature.

Coming it irrational decision at irration times with no consequences is one of the joys of living in America. Do it.

comparing Vietnam to Iraq in a military stand point is pointless. You had n. Vietnam, who had and army and a spine and then you have Iraq who had a sad army without a spine and no equipment. fargin ridiculous. not only did the Vietnamese fight back, they fought back for years. Iraq's army was decimated in days and the majority gave up.  then the fanatics started pouring into the country. just what they wanted us to do.

The local Iraqi fighters are a combination of many things but Patriot is a funny word to describe them.
