Every year at this time I find myself reading more about the JFK assassination. I've forever been interested in it so I try to consume as much information as I can.

I just watched this PBS Frontline doc on Lee Harvey and it was very good.

I believe he played a part in the assassination but that there was a conspiracy behind it. I've been reading some about LBJ's alleged part and I wonder if there is anything to that. I saw a pic where LBJ is being sworn in on AF1 and he's sharing a look with a congressman where the congressman is smiling and winking at him.

How deep does the government conspiracy go? Did LBJ have anything to do with it? Was it just the mafia who spearheaded it with CIA aid?

The doc has a former CIA director who can never give a direct answer as to why they don't have the photos and notes of Oswald's Russian and Cuban embassy visits in Mexico City despite other CIA and KGB people saying he was there and the photos and recordings existed.

Anyways check out the doc if you have a couple hours to burn.

there's a book http://www.amazon.com/Heard-You-Paint-Houses-Teamsters/dp/1586420895/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1448889598&sr=8-1&keywords=i+heard+you+paint+houses about an Irish hitman who used to work with Hoffa and claims to be the one who eventually killed him.  it's very good and recommend it highly.  but at one part of the book this guy is convinced that we dropped a bag of rifles at a spot for someone and they were used in the JFK assassination.  it's probably BS but interesting anyway.

I just read 11/22/63 by Steven King.  Obviously fictional but a fun read for somebody interested in the JFK assassination.
