the recruiting station should absolutely be able to stay....but i see no harm in eliminating solicitation in places like malls and schools...if a kid wants to go into the recruitment office and get some 411 then by all means...but hunting down teenagers with a sales pitch for something that may ultimately kill you is unsavory imo

I've been following this story for a few days now but didn't bring it up here because I figured the conversation would probably turn into a flame fest. 

I look at it like this.......I'm all about people protesting the war and all that.  Freedom of speech, freedom to assemble and all that is a good thing and I support people excersizing those rights.  But I think they need to take the issue up with the policy makers themselves.  The Marines (or any other branch) have no say in whether or not we go into war or when we come out. 

But as long as the protests don't interfere with the Marines' ability to do their job, then there's nothing you can do. 

Admittedly though, if I were a recruiter in that office I'd probably get in a fight every time I walk into and out of the office.
