Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Maryland was most certainly not with the North in the Civil War.  They weren't technically a part of the Confederacy but they might as well have been considering most of the state was agrarian at the time and wealthy land owners relied on slaves and endentured servants to harvest their crops.

md most definitely was part of the union...just because some wealthy residents wanted slaves doesnt mean they werent...there were people of all kinds in every state in the union that supported slavery...hell there probably still are

Is this the "Anyone been to a good American History class lately?" thread?

Today our teacher had a mini-review if the Holocaust. That was a tough one.

He also said he played in a synogouge softball league against Jeff Lurie over the weekend. Said he was good, and played shortstop. Seems like Jeffy isn't as out of touch as we thought. He gets down and dirty with the everyJew and plays in a Hebrew Mashugana game. La'Chaim.

Is that some sort of Jewish Mythology class you're taking?  You know.....with the holocaust being fake and all.

MDS

No, it's a basic English type class. We've done Locke, Darwin, poetry, etc. that kind of nonsense.

I like the chilly weather, you know jeans and sweatshirt. I like the fact that the northeast has a real fall season - my favorite time. However, this 8 degree bullshtein can go. No one should be enjoying insane coldness like that. I enjoy rainy weather though.

Sorry my man.  You're wrong.  Google "Maryland Confederacy" and there are literally thousands of articles regarding Maryland's partiality to the rebel side.  The eastern part of the state was solidly secessionist while the western side was pro-union.

Here's a good place to start:  http://www.etymonline.com/cw/maryland.htm
