I usually buy sneakers in bunches of 3 and rotate them for a year or two...haven't bought a new pair since early 2018. Bought 6 pair online over the past week (3 Nike, 2 Puma, 1 Adidas)...keep finding great sales...I might have issues

The Nikes I bought were regularly $80 marked down to $50, the Puma (honestly didn't know they were still semi popular) were regularly $70 marked down to $25...bought the same style in both colors for $50...the Adidas was $100 marked down to $70. My only worry is I'm usually a 9.5 or 10 but different brands run bigger or small. I've never bought sneakers online before because I need the right fit. Either way the companies I ordered from ( Kohl's, Puma, Eastbay) are all offering free paid returns.

Friends and colleagues of mine have been skittish about spending frivolously and I have too.

I have spent the last 10 years paying off debts incurred during the last mini-depression and I'll be damned if I'm going through that again at my age.

Nope.  All my unsecured albatross debts are finally paid off and I'm keeping it that way.

Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

for real.  i woke up thinking it was friday.  was on a 9am call and i thought it was wednesday.

doesn't help that it's felt like seattle around here for the last two weeks.  not sure how people live up there.

I was told repeatedly by upper echelons that our work year ended tomorrow meaning everything had to be finished (within reason) by... TOMORROW.

I called the big cheese this afternoon with a progress update and found out the deadline has been pushed back to May 17th.

Middle management really is everything it's cracked up to be.
