Like IGY said. The Internet communication kind of provides a vetting vehicle so when you do meet up...it's like meeting an old pal.

When I first met up with Sarge, we just hit the ground running. There really was no awkwardness. Wierdest thing was learning people in the mid-west didnt lock their front doors when going out for the night.

What kicked off that thought was SDs pictures on Facebook...because I've made it out to a few tailgates with some of you guys, mostly years ago...with a lot of guys who aren't even on here anymore. But Facebook took it from a bunch of internet weirdos to more real-life weirdos...who get married, get divorced, have kids, have kids grow up...and it went by pretty quickly. Even if they stop posting on here, I still see them on there...because it's not like not posting here makes them worse people (could only be better, right?). I remember playing Madden with Sus's kid when he was way younger than my son...and now he's in his 30s or something. Anyway....I guess the point is that the Eagles have been somewhere between mediocre and terrible for a really, really long time and we've spent the better part of decades talking about it. Yay internet!

I think I first met EMB people in 2002 at the Rams tailgate. I remember it being brutally cold, drinking a ton of Beermonkey's Alabama Slammers and SD falling down the steps in the 700 level and having an amazing recovery to pop up and lead an Eagles chant.
