Nevermind Christmas.  She'll have a chance to make it up to you for many Christmases to come.

But she will only graduate from college once in her life.  Well, maybe more if she keeps going, but none ever so important as the first time.

Get her a present and be generous, whatever that means to you.

I graduated December 2011 and she didn't get me squat.

Did your sister go to college right after HS or does she have 5-10 years of real life experience like you do?  If she went right after HS, you'll have to give her a pass partially based on ignorance and nievity.  I'm guessing she would have been about 20 or 21 yrs old when you graduated so she probably didn't have a clue on how big the accomplishment was for you, especially since there was such a huge gap between HS and college for you.  Also, I don't know what the family money situation is, but she may have been on a tight budget like most kids in college.  Getting a gift may have been out of her means.  Granted, she could have gotten you a card or something but now we're splitting hairs.

Point is, be a good big brother and get her a little something that's within your price range and would be useful to her.  She'll be entering the work force soon and going on job interviews I assume.  Maybe get her a brief case or a nice pen to fill out all of those job applications.

farg her

In that case, get her a pair of flip flops and a dildo.  That way, if she doesn't like the flip flops she can go farg herself.

Tomahawk

Hahaha classic, Sarge

Get her Resumes for Dummies. That way you only spend about twelve bucks and look like you're helpful to the family members you don't hate, but still are calling her a dumbass. passive/aggressive ftw

I left my ipad in the glove box of my rental car when I dropped it off at union station yesterday, and didnt realize I did so until hours later when I got home...I called Hertz this morning and they said the car has already been rented out last night, but is scheduled to be returned to Reagan at 5:30 today. The union station manager alerted the Reagan manager to check once its returned, blah blah blah.

I already remotely locked it so anyone who finds it has no use for it. It also has my business card in there with 3 different ways to get in touch with me.

So, question - if you found an ipad in a rental car, that had no way of being turned on (without my password), and had an ID piece inside, what would you do? I know what I would do, and I'm pretty sure it's not how its gonna end for me..

ice grillin you

decent chance the person who rented the car doesnt even go in the glove compartment...id put those odds at 75-25 and the odds that the person sees the ipad and returns it at 70-30

im not smart enough to combine those numbers and figure out what your overall chances of ever seeing your ipad again are but maybe you can figure it out
i can take a phrase thats rarely heard...flip it....now its a daily word

igy gettin it done like warrick

im the board pharmacist....always one step above yous

DH

because im a jew?

but seriously, my cynical attitude has me already thinking about life w/o it. farging iceholes.

ice grillin you

i think youll see it again...but im pretty sure our competing opinions have to do with the ipad being yours and not mine

oh and i also forgot to include some very important odds that factor in here

odds that the shady ass hertz lot attendant returns the ipad to the lot manager - ZERO

That's my biggest concern and why I am sure I'll never see it again. They don't even employ Hertz people to take the cars back over there; just temp job guys who really could give a shtein.

the password does not protect your ipad from being turned on, it only protects your information behind the password. anyone can just connect the ipad to any computer and hit factory reset and go about their business.

Did you register the ipad? and did you turn on the free "find my ipad" security feature? A yes to any of those means you'd be able to find it the next time it was even attempted to turn on.

DH

yes and yes...according to my phone it cant be located, and hasnt been able to be located since last night - would that mean that it hasnt been turned on?

I think it's pretty clear... if you had turned your life over to Jesus this never would have happened.
