I'm getting emails and automated phone calls from my daughters school about the snow. I feel impotent.

I was looking through some old pictures and found a souvenir book from my grandfathers amusement/entertainment park/ranch from waaaaaaaaaaaay back in the day. There's a pretty cool picture of the audience from a show he did with Hank Williams, Jr. there that I'll try to scan at some point.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

you mean that the rape basement was once an entire theme park?  that might actually be pretty cool.

on a related topic, my mom is in the process of cleaning out her attic and found this picture, so she emailed it and sent me a copy.  it's my grandfather with pete retzlaff.  at the time, my grandfather owned a toyota dealer and was an eagles and phillies sponsor so he was always getting free suites and invited to team functions and such.  unfortunately for me, he retired when i was about 8 so i didn't get to go to too many events with him although i do remember going to a ws game in 80 and 83.

she said there's a bunch of other pictures of him with phillies and eagles personnel but they're all in the frames and at some point must have been stored in a damp area because the pics are kind of stuck to the glass so she doesn't want to take them out of the frames.

anyway, crappy scan since my mom did it in black and white, but the pants both of them are wearing are awesome.

The bar/basement that is decked out in eagles is at my dads (formally grandfathers house)....the bigger room that was built recently is my Uncles.

There were actually two amusement parks. Ontelaunee Park was a 60somthin acre land the family bought, and The Sante Fe Ranch was closer to where the homes are built. They had some standard rides for children like a merry go round and such, but it was more a live entertainment venue/park since the family was a pretty big local country music act for many years.

You still have no idea what you're talking about. Neither of those places you've seen are in Delaware.

Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.
