seriously, 323?

we're gonna plan a vegas trip when my roommate gets back from iraq next month. toddly might not return alive.

Yeah, a lot of hotels are offering some deep discounts. If you want to book The Mirage, use the promo code WINTER or just go to their website and look at the promotions.

Or go to www.smartervegas.com and you'll find promo codes and cheap show tickets out the ass.

I looked at 5 hotels (Mirage, MGM Grand, Mandalay Bay, Planet Hollywood and New York New York) and settled on The Mirage even though NYNY had a pretty good deal for Caliendo tickets plus some free drinks and shtein like that.

I used OnePass miles to pay for one of the tickets on Continental and got the other for 261 bucks. Prices were a little cheaper a few weeks ago, so I had to book the flight now. Hell, the original return flight we wanted at 8am Sunday morning was up to $404.

So we decided to leave Houston Wednesday the 27th at 9pm and leave Las Vegas Sunday the 31st at 1am.

thats awesome

we want to do a night with a fancy dinner, a show and then clubs--in full suits of course. thatll be my one night away from the tables/bars.

there is no doubt im going to the topless pool to play blackjack. even if i lose 500 bucks. has to be done.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Yeah, we're going to have a "formal" evening too. The other days & nights are going to consist of me being sloppy drunk and gambling away a wad of cash.

MDS

thats exactly what you're supposed to do.

i highly suggest going to munson for advice before you go. dude is an expert.

I avoided the clubs mostly because getting drunk and dancing with women was something I can do anywhere...whereas legally playing a good game of poker is something I can do in two places. 3 if you count the poker rooms around here but it's very obviously nothing compared to Vegas, or even AC.

For me the trip was just all about playing poker in Vegas and getting some touristy pictures....We're all gonna go again this summer, this time I'll prob dedicate a night to gettin dressed up and goin out.

I will say as corny as it is, definitely watch the fountain show outside of the Bellagio. Probably my favorite touristy part of the trip.

And 323 for 4 nights aint bad at all. Ours was probably more expensive because it was the summer, but we had two rooms and total cost for them was somewhere around 900?? I have no idea honestly.

Hopefully your strip view is good. We stayed at Treasure Island which is more or less next to The Mirage and had a perfect view down the strip.

Pull a Knocked Up and do some shrooms and go to Cirque De Solei. The tickets were 70 bucks a pop in august, no idea if they go up or down with the seasons.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

better still, buy the shrooms and send them to me...my third eye is blurry, needs a squeegee

I was just in Vegas last month, and by far the best thing we did was ride the dune buggy's in the desert. We rented from this place, and even though it was pretty expensive ($400 for a 2 seater for 90 minutes), it was one of the greatest things I've done.  I very much wanted to ride the rides on top of Circus Circus, but they were closed while we were there because it was so damned windy.

I can't emphasize enough how awesome the dune buggies were - running dry creek beds, launching off sand dunes, washing sand out of my eyes/nose/ears/other for two days.  A most excellent time.

ha...gotta wonder what peoples objectives are now-a-days. Ill be damn if I go out to Vegas at 21 yrs old, get drunk and not try and get some Hoyda

Munson

I got plenty drunk a couple of the nights and talked up some english girl, but like I said I can go to any bar at UD and it's dancing sluts galore, like shootin fish in a barrel.

If I'm in Vegas I'm there for the gamblin. Then gettin drunk with friends. Women come in a distant third.

Phreak, I don't know what the temps there are like in the winter but I can tell you there is absolutely 0 humidity. I was walking down the strip and it was 102 degrees and I didn't sweat a drop. Made me hate the east coast summers.

i've been going to vegas 3x a year for the past 5-6 years so if anyone wants any info on shtein lemme know.

one thing to make sure of is to get a players card at any casino you play at, even if you don't planning on spending a ton of cash.  i honestly haven't paid for a room in vegas for the last 4 years or so, and usually can get comped rooms for my friends also.
