ya, war on drugs po people appears to be working great

There's a new tv show coming on about the DEA.  They showed previews of it this morning and they were hassling some poor junkie and telling her that either she talked about the higher ups or she went to prison for a long ass time.

Nice.

Even nicer was another guy who was offered the same deal to rat out the guys above him and he says something to the effect of, "what do I look like, an idiot?"  They locked his ass up tight after that.

farg this miserable society.  Its end can't come soon enough.

QuoteWeb-site hacking has reached a new low, both morally and technically.   :-D

Unknown miscreants had a good time two weekends ago when they posted hundreds of flashing animated images onto discussion boards hosted by the Landover, Md.-based Epilepsy Foundation.

Flashing lights or bold moving patterns can trigger often violent seizures among 3 percent of the estimated 50 million epileptics worldwide.

"I was on the phone when it happened, and I couldn't move and couldn't speak," RyAnne Fultz, who has epilepsy, told Wired News about her reaction to viewing one of the images on March 23.

Fultz's 11-year-old son walked over and closed the browser window after about 10 seconds. Fortunately, she suffered nothing more than a bad headache.

By then, the second day of vandalism on EpilepsyFoundation.org, the jerks had moved on to hijacking the browsers of anyone who clicked on certain forum posts, filling the screens with bright, flashing colors.

Technically, none of this was hacking, since it didn't involve breaking into anyone's Web site, and any snotty kid with a rudimentary knowledge of JavaScript could do it.

The Epilepsy Foundation shut off the discussion board on Sunday for about 12 hours, and the attacks stopped.

"This was clearly an act of vandalism with the intent to harm people," said Eric R. Hargis, the foundation's president and CEO in a statement released Monday.

However, it doesn't seem to have been the first instance. A Texas-based discussion Web site called Coping With Epilepsy said it suffered a similar attack last November.

Posting "highlights" of Flash Gordon's performance yesterday would be more deliberately cruel.

I went to a website for blind people once and my monitor got all bumpy.  I didn't like it.

the weather was beautiful today, so a few friends and myself went riding 4 wheeler at our usual spot after work. right around when it got dark we were just hanging out talking and a storm rolled in. it was literally seconds, from drizzling to full out pouring rain and insane winds. i got to my truck put up the windows jumped out to put my 4 wheeler away and i heard a loud crack. a freakin tree snapped in half and landed on my girlfriends car. i ran down to see what happened and the tree landed on her hood. luckily she didn't get to her car when the tree fell on it, she was about 20 feet away running torwards her car when it fell. the tree crushed the hood, cracked windshield and it was hard to make out what all was farged up since it was dark out, but it was pretty bad

we ride on my dads land, which is 20+ acres. the chances of a tree falling on a car anywhere on the property are pretty slim. the wind storm lasted maybe 30 seconds from what all of us could remember. either a small tornado landed with it being so warm today and then a cold front coming in...or the tree was already half cracked from all the ice and wind we had all winter. the tree was prob a good 60 ft tall and healthy from what we could tell in the dark. total freak accident. luckily no one got hurt.

just hoping that its totaled to avoid any deductible payments. the car was 4 months away from being totally paided off, ha!

Coincidentally, a tree fell and crushed a car in the middle of Lincoln Financial Field 30 minutes later.
