Let's clarify who *we* is considering.

*We*, the fans (not necessarily including myself), are considering Keyshawn.

*We*, the Eagles FO, is probably not remotely considering Keyshawn.

there never should be any need to clarify that.  anybody who refers to the Eagles as 'we' should be beaten with a hose.

Unless Pinkston on one good leg satisfies your requirements for a veteran WR...

I'm not saying we don't need a WR with some experience, but I'd rather have Walker or Moulds or someone else.  Keyshawn is an a-hole...

I would take Walker or Moulds first as well, but seeing how both of those guys require a trade at this point...

This seems to be the principal argument against him.  People don't like him.  Nevermind that he's reliable as a diesel Mercedes.  Nevermind that he's fearless with great hands.  Nevermind that he's durable.  Nevermind that he's a team player with veteren leadership authority.  Nevermind that he blocks better than most TEs in this league.  Nevermind that at 34 years old he's still as productive as he ever was, and just as consistent.  Nevermind all that..people just don't like him.

I laugh at people who compare Keyshawn and TO.  Sure there are some similarities (both are pro football WRs, both talk a lot, both bring it on the field.)  But the similarities are superficial.  In substance, one is a cancer on a team and the other is at worst an occasional headline.  TO is a bona fide insane person..Keyshawn is just a cocky mouth.  TO ruins locker rooms, Keyshawn leads them.  I'm surprised so many people think they are similar, especially after what TO did here.  I can't imagine a player who would be worse to have on your team than TO.  Keyshawn on the other hand has improved every team he's been on.

What's clear is that people just hate Keyshawn, regardless of the facts.

And like some of you have said, it doesn't matter because he's not going to be an Eagle.  I agree.  I think the FO is too cheap to pay him, to shortsighted to realize they need an improvement that he would bring, and too gun-shy about hiring anyone with an ego.  Cheap, unremarkable, placid players are the only candidates the Eagles will pursue.

Expensive, remarkable, bold players need not apply.

Word is that everyone is too cheap to pay him so far, Dio.

Giants offered him $3M a year and he scoffed at it.

Covering Plaxico, Shockey, and Keyshawn might be a problem.  Eli could just throw jump balls all game.

people here have been bashing the guy for so long, that if he'd become an eagle...there would be so many 180's you could feel a breeze coming through your monitor.

I'm not going to lie...I don't like the dude. Not one bit. And I wouldn't want him here. Its got nothing to do with him being an idiot. I don't like him.

I would almost prefer Maurice Stovall and the unknown of a rookie to him.

Stupid? Probably.

do I care? No.
