That's kinda toned down. The good hits prior to the 80's were on guys running crossing patterns. Tatum used to clothes line recievers that were running patterns over the middle. It was legal to de-capitate a reciever before the ball was in the air.

Yeah, Tatum and Atkinson too. Those were the days. Sus, you think today's recievers would put up these giant numbers under those rules? The quick slant was almost non-existent.
