however, i do think gaffney is our starting receiver right now along with reggie brown.

I think he goes into the season as the 3rd wideout but by the end of the season will be our #2.

Are you saying that you think Pinkston is penciled in to start? I hope to christ that you're wrong.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Let them eat bootstraps.

Yes.  I believe they'd try their damnedest to start Pinkston if he weren't coming off a big injury, but since he is, and since he has a big hole in public opinion to pull out of, I think Gaffney wins the job.  Plus, Gaffney may not be as much of a deep threat, but he is better rounded.

Pinkston will still see 15-20 snaps a game if he's healthy enough, and like him or hate him, he does have excellent speed and will probably make more big/deep plays than anyone else currently on the roster... whether it's from drawing a flag or from actually making the catch.

i actually thought gaffney was a deep threat but considering he had one catch over 40 yards in his acreer, i guess not.

i got him confused with corey bradford.

i knew there was some texan receiver who used to always make long catches.

Gaffney might be more of a deep threat than Reggie Brown or Greg Lewis.  He's got good speed and size... but Pinkston is still probably more of a deep threat than anyone on the team by far if he's healthy.

Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Considering the price it was a very good signing.

I wouldn't go as far as Merrill but Gaffney can do well in this offense. I like how he's built and I like that he's sure-handed. Seems like Reid praises him on his route running abilities too. I don't know what everyone wants from this FA class. Randle El, IMO, was overpaid grossly for seemingly no production besides being in the center of a few trick plays (I think Freddie Mitchell even had some success in the trick play department if I'm not mistaken), Givens would have been nice, but I think talent-wise Gaffney has the same athleticism and hands as Givens, so it's somewhat of a scratch.

I dunno, I don't think sarcasm is needed for someone who signed a one year deal at practically the minimum. Now if the Eagles gave him a 7 year deal with 15 million in guarenteed money then I would say you're crazy. But, come on, put the signing in perspective.

i had no idea gaffney was a Rosenhaus client.

The BIGSTUD

Maybe he would be there with his client if he wasn't to busy performing fellatio on TO back in the big d.
Calling it right on the $ since day one.
Just pointing laughing, and living it up while watching the Miami Heat stink it up.
