while it's not a top notch pedigree...discounting florida wr's because they are florida wr's is a little presumptuous.

Rome, c'mon now.  Givens numbers were better than Gaffney's on the team that won the SB 3 out of the last 5 years.  They have a good OL and an experienced QB.  You think Gaffney would have better numbers on NE?  Hell, Greggie probably would.  Let's see what happens before we claim the sky's fallen.

I don't know what Gaffney would have done on New England.  No one does.  I know what he did in Houston and I know what Givens did in New England.  That's what I was basing my commentary on.

Givens would have been a better option for the Eagles than Gaffney.  He would not, however, be a better option than Moulds or even Javon Walker.

How's that?

they said his tear was 6-12 months for full recovery...and thats just to get back on the field physically...that doesnt include psychological and timing issues...i wouldnt count on him for the first half of this season...after that he may come into his old own but its a dice roll

Reggie Brown put up numbers with Mike McMahon at QB

brandon lloyd put up better numbers with alex smith ken dorsey tim rattay and cody pickett on a horrid team...is he the next terrell owens?...

No. But I honestly think that Reggie Brown is going to be a stud. I could be wrong. But we've all seen WRs come and go in this town who were honest to god crap. And Reggie, just the way he plays and his attitude says a lot to me. Its a feeling that I have and if I'm wrong, I'll admit it.

But I think he will be a stud. I think he has 85+ catches this year.

Phreak, Chad Johnson is one of the top three WRs in the league. Reggie Brown is not.
Yet.

I see similarities in their game. I never said Reggie was Chad now. I said he CAN be a Chad Johnson type guy. And I fully belieeeeee dat.

I think Reggie's great and all but Chad Johnson is a special, special player, Phreak.

We'll see.

BTW: Belieeeeee dat?   Nice.   :-D

chad johnson sure looked like he picked up his team with his special special play during the playoffs last year.

Romey,

I know CJ is special. And I see Reggie as being one of those players too.

Phreak = Reggie Brown's pimp.

So now you're saying that Chad Johnson isn't a special player?

Have I inadvertently stumbled into bizarro CF this morning by mistake??

Right, because we're all saying Gaffney is going to be "great".  ::)

i love the way things are taken and twisted into a whole new context. i never said any such thing. dont put words on my keyboard for me.

i never said that. but like terrell owens...his attitude will get in the way of any success his talents can bring him.
my example stays the same, see his actions during the playoffs. he's talented, and very good...but he's a farging moron, like owens, that is nothing but an attention whore to the point where he will sacrifice the team in order to make himself look better.

You used the word "special" twice in an obviously derogatory way with respect to Chad Johnson.

What did I misunderstand about that, Wingspan?
