one of my collateral duties is being the substance abuse control officer, which basically means that i deal with marines who have substance abuse problems.  and one aspect of that job is doing random command urinalysis testing, which my commanding officer decided he wanted to do today.  so between 4pm and 8pm, i had to test 138 people.  which means that right now there are 138 bottles of piss in my office.

good times.

you should see if you can guess which samples came from which marines by smell, that would be fun.

So you're LT PSN now?

Well, start a new job Monday, if I can make it to the other side of the ditch, meaning the Chesapeake. Yup, I'm going union, carpentry union. Six months and I'll have all the bells and whistles. Insurance, profit sharing, company truck and gas card, and it starts with union scale salary, which is supposedly $26 per hr. It'll will be tough, but I've been guaranteed 40 hrs. a week, so it's better than the two, three days a week I've been doing. So... it's all because of stimulus money that Obama provided, that is finally been freed up once all the bureaucrats decided how to spend it. I'll be working on and providing maintenance for homeland security buildings starting off. I also could be working at the Naval Academy and the Bethesda Naval hospital. Should be easy work compared to what I've been doing. I've been critical of how Obama's spent money, but will have to eat crow if this works out, because I will be a direct recipient of the stimulus package.

Almost forgot, this job will also include paid holidays and vacation time. Something I've never had.

What happens when we're done being stimulated?

Sgt PSN

smoke a cigarette and go to sleep.

Most of my work is down Annapolis.  House we're on now is just across the Severn from the Naval Acadamy.  We'll have to have a beer and surprise secks.

Sgt PSN

you just ruined the surprise.

Diomedes

Pshaw.  That's the kind of surprise you can be warned of beforehand but when it happens, it's still surprising.

I did a lot of work in and around Annapolis years ago. Anywere on the Severn mostly means the people have big money. I did a lot of work in Downs on the Severn when it was a new development. Friggen' houses were huge. Made me wonder were all that money came from.

Dio, you ever hit Rams Head on generals highway?

Diomedes

Sure, and also when it was Rudy's before that.

Yeah!? You've been around those parts a while then. I used to got there just about every day when I worked in the Downs. They had some killer pizza there. I've only been there twice since it became Ram's Head.

Anywayz, new job is on hold as the gubment is closed down in Md. today. Fargin' Hoydas. But, lucky for all the people here at CF, I can post all day. Ha!
