Good news, not least because you'll be posting less.

Dude, if this job is in Charleston, I would be on the first bus out of St. Louis.  Very nice city.
I'm bringing sexy back

Greenville, not Charleston.  It wouldn't matter anyway - the travel is all over the eastern half of the US, not to SC.
The drawback to marital longevity is your wife always knows when you're really interested in her and when you're just trying to bury it.

Greenville is nice.  It has an airport to service the 20-30 people who live there.
Anyone but Reid.

Interviewed for a job this morning that and I'm pretty confident that I'll get an offer. I'm just worried about the pay. They like to pay less on base salary and offer quarterly bonuses based company and personal performance. From what I understand they've never really had a problem with not getting bonuses and in 'hard' times the bonus was just below 15% of your base. On average the bonus ranges from 15% - 21% of base. Might be kind of cool to live off the base and use the bonuses for extra and cushion and shtuff. Anyone else work with this type of thing?

My bonus target is 25%, so yes.

Times don't get much tougher than they are right now, and I still got over 18.5% this year.

That's comforting. They kept stressing that they pay less base salary because of the bonuses which scares me. I'm willing to come down about 10k on my salary with the bonuses (which would put me ahead possibly) and that's about it. Though I know through the experience of others that there's a threshold there that they won't cross and that 10k puts it there. I won't talk about any of that stuff until they say they're interested though which they have not said yet. I have an IT customer service assessment test to take yet.

It really depends on the place.  My last company set "targets" at about 12%, then reduced that number by about 3% based on business performance (amazing, the last quarter before bonuses was always bad!), then only gave that target amount (now 9% or so) to about 5% of the people.  The rest got maybe 5%.

So, the best thing to do is to ask people who already work there, if you can.  Or check glassdoor.com.

The place was 16th on computer worlds best places to work in IT but thanks for the site link. I'll check that out too.

I will be leaving the beer business officially. I've taken another job and I'll be giving my notice Monday. Guess I have to write some sort of resignation letter.
