3. And the Giants can get credit through continuity and coaching but the Eagles can't? They still have Eli Manning. He was brutal last year. Great early on, pure shtein later on. And the Eagles haven't made huge signings either. But hey, give the Giants credit on that but not the Eagles.

Amen

:=) is not getting younger, Shockey is due to implode ala the "The Soldier" any moment. Hate, hate, hate...

ice grillin you

1. They don't have to draft a SAM better than Jones. There are guys out there to be signed who are better. And even if they did draft a guy, if they target him and get him for the SAM I am all for it if it means removing Jones.

2. I know the WRs aren't a star studded group I would've loved to have David Givens. But if they get back to spreading it around and running the ball more, I will take this group (as ragged as it is) ovet the Pinky-Trash-Mitchell-Brown-Freeman days.

whos are the sam linebackers that can come in and be so much better than dhani that they will actually make a difference

and its not just the sam anyway its the overall lack of playmaking ability at lb that they have refused to address for years now

so basically

1. they will get a sam who sucks less than dhani
2. these wr's suck but they are less sucky than the sucky ones they used to have

awesome

as for the giants or any other team i dont care how much better theyve gotten as long as the eagles do the necessary things to make themselves better and they havent done that...altho it explains how they controlled the divison so easily for so long

Which guys are out there to be signed right now that would be better?  Please name at least 2 not named Arrington.

Other than Madison, what have the Giants done?

Added Burress, Pierce, and McKenzie last season while we added McMahon. They also made the playoffs last season and don't have the available cap space we have.

Here's my question, what are the Eagles going to do with $20 + million worth of cap space? Sign their own players, okay fine, even though the cap will go up another $10 million next season, the draft will eat $5 million, so where is the other money being spent?
Runyan should have already of been re-signed, there's absolutely no excuse for that not getting done.

You guys worry about this shtein 24/7, don't you?

No, but it pisses me off when I see players we could have had (Bernard, Givens) at a reasonable price sign elsewhere while we sit on our hands and say "wait till the draft".

To you and IGY,

1. Na'il Diggs (6'4 240)
2. Hunter Hillenmeyer (6'4 238)
3. Chris Claiborne (6'3 255
4. Brandon Short (6'3 253)

Those are in no particular order, by the way. Any one of them would be better at strongside LB than Dhani Jones.

ice grillin you

short sucks not sure id even take him over dhani

clemons and hillenmeyer are rfa's arent they?

diggs is ok and a slight improvement over dhani but not a difference maker

Chris Claiborne could not come close to covering Cooley, Witten, or Shockey.

Diggs and Short are basically lateral moves.  Hillenmeyer might be an upgrade.

All very "meh", but at least there are *options*.

SunMo

Gargano keeps saying that he thinks that the Eagles will trade for guard.  He's not citing any sources but he says he has a feeling, for whatever that is worth.

Um... ok.  But do the Packers have any guards worth getting?

PhillyPhreak54

Claiborne was a pretty good SLB in Minnesota and Detroit before moving to Mike in STL.

I would take every last one of those guys over Dhani.

Gargano is in tight with Heckert...

I wonder what OG they would trade for? Does that mean no Runyan and Andrews goes to RT? Not sure I like that

rjs246

Let's see.
Diggs has 21 career PDs, 4 ints and 7 sacks.
HH has 4 career PDs, 1 int and 3.5 sacks.
Short has 10 career PDs, 2 ints and 7.5 sacks.

Claiborne has made some plays in his career but has also had injuries last year had a whopping .5 sacks, 0 ints and 0 PDs.

They all suck.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Let them eat bootstraps.
