this WR corp is already better than the one from 2001-2003

you sure about that

yeah...

Reggie Brown > James Thrash
Pinky 2006 < Pinky 2003
Gaffney > 4th and 26

and it's not just the talent that I'm worried about.

Your #2 receiver just came off of a ruptured achilles tendon injury. That is an extremely difficult injury to rebound from in this league. The #1 receiver is a 2nd year player. Again, I love Reggie Brown, but if he hits a sophmore wall, then we have no one to fall back on.

All things considered, combined with my previous post, logic tells me they have to be looking to bring in another stud. Not just to upgrade the talent, but to upgrade their depth and security at that position.

So whether it's Walker, a draft pick on day 1, or if Moulds pulls a Bentley, I still think they are looking to add someone at the position.
Calling it right on the $ since day one.
Just pointing laughing, and living it up while watching the Miami Heat stink it up.

Plus, after coming off a 6-10 season, their goal should be to heavily upgrade every position as much as they can. Should it not be?

i'm not disagreeing with that a little bit.  i'm simply responding to your unbridled optimisim that you can't believe they won't do anything else with receiver.  while i hope it otherwise, i absolutely believe that they won't do anything else with reciever.

No shtein, Sherlock.  But adding "a draft pick on day 1" is the super-duh of the day.  I had been making fun of you because you were absolutely sure the team was getting either Moulds or Walker, and you are probably completely wrong.

Wingspan

i bet all along, Moulds just wanted to be with ND Kalu.

Deep down I don't think we will, but I have to believe so because I need something to look forward to this season. It's too early to get down on a team.

ice grillin you

gaffney is freddie mitchell

i guess reggie is better than thrash as far as this season is concerned (he clearly will be better down the road)...i personally think people are overrating him cause he had a decent meaningless game or two at the end of the season...most games last year he was horrid

pinky is clearly not as good this year if he contributes at all

if the wr's are better right now its marginal at best

i can take a phrase thats rarely heard...flip it....now its a daily word

igy gettin it done like warrick

im the board pharmacist....always one step above yous

If you're a Philly fan, it's never too early.

you know McNabb is lobbying hard right now for WR...HARD. He's not a fool, he sees the talent he is throwing to. He knows this city will cane him in the middle of Broad steet if he craps the bed this season. It all falls on #5, so he has to be lobbying. I say we get a WR before the season starts....no question.

lol

Do you disagree?  I think the outlook for the 2008-2009 Sixers looks like crap.

I think Donovan is better suited to stick to more underneath (TE/RB) routes anyway.
