Every year Mawae has like 2 broken hands, yet you see him out there blocking with his hands taped up to look like anvils.
Calling it right on the $ since day one.
Just pointing laughing, and living it up while watching the Miami Heat stink it up.

Meh. Rumors have the Vikings, just like the Eagles, saying they want everyone so far.

Didn't Mawae play in like 177 straight games before missing time last year....   not exactly what I would call injury prone.

That said, he's 35 and this injury very well could be the beginning of the body breaking down as far as being in NFL playing shape....

Damn you Brad Childress!  You aren't an Eagle anymore so stop reading this message board!

Half of the taterskins' offensive line should be available anyway.

The more of them they sign, the better they'll be! These guys have been coached by Joe Gibbs, so they're the bestest!

Cooley would be a damn fine addition, and Sellers should come on the cheap. Hmm...who else? Marcus Washington, Phillip Daniels.....that's about it I guess. It's going to look like a flea market.

They won't cut Cooley or Washington, no matter what.  Both of those guys are "core Skins".

Adam Caplan (Sirius NFL station) just mentioned again that the Eagles are keeping a close eye on what happens with Mawae.

I wouldn't hate getting Mawae, Dandy Don. But I'm saying if you get him you better be ready for the IR stint that comes along with him.

why?...he played a million games in a row before last season

that being said unless hes a super bargain at a year or two i dont want him...and thats obviously what everyone means by the eagles are 'looking at him'...basically they want to know he if they can him for minimum money

i can take a phrase thats rarely heard...flip it....now its a daily word

igy gettin it done like warrick

QuoteEagles | Team interested in Mawae

The New York Daily News reports the Philadelphia Eagles are interested in New York Jets OC Kevin Mawae, should he be released by the Jets, as expected.

Jets | Mawae could be gone Thursday
Thu, 2 Mar 2006 05:36:17 -0800

The New York Daily News reports agent Mark Bartelstein said he was informed Wednesday, Match 1, by New York Jets general manger Mike Tannenbaum that the team likely will part ways with OC Kevin Mawae. Mawae's situation apparently goes beyond money. At 35, recovering from a torn triceps, he doesn't fit into new head coach Eric Mangini's rebuilding plan. Mawae was given permission recently to seek a trade, and he took that as a sign that he's no longer wanted. The Jets will save $1.1 million by releasing Mawae. "Nothing is official, but I got a sense from talking to (the Jets) that Kevin will be a free agent," Bartelstein said. "I think they've made the decision to retool and start over."
