I was stationed in Montgomery, Alabama at the time, and I drove up to Atlanta to see the Eagle splay the Falcons at a 3/4 empty Fulton County Stadium. You could tell all the controversy that surrounded them had sapped their energy. They lost that game 26-10 and had Dean May , a 6-6 rookie at QB.

He pretty much was a savior. His intentions were good, but he really didn't have the stomach to be an NFL owner.

Tose was supposed to one hell of a good guy, but his gambling problems led him to the brink of financial ruin, and the Eagles was the only thing of value he had left.

Look on the bright side, we would have had Timm Rosenbach and Johnny Johnson.

And Cuba Gooding Jr. too!

Funny.  I just watched the movie yesterday...lots of classic lines that would relate to Eagles issues.

Loved the way Buddy Ryan refered to Braman as "the guy from France" referring to to Braman's frequent trips to his chalet in France.  That used to piss of Braman big time.
