yes, this is true.  but you have some sense of entitlement to discuss this topic here.  why?  you want to vent?  get a therapist.  just don't be surprised when people question why you are discussing a serious subject like this with such vigor on a football message board.

Just about every poster here has a sense of entitlement to discuss whatever it is they want to discuss - why is this such a problem now?  Do you mean that this board has never discussed a serious subject? 

I think there is a bit of the "kill the messenger" dynamic going on here:  people don't want to hear about racism or unfair, discriminatory behavior...people want to bury their heads in the sand.  Just because this subject is making you uncomfortable you want to lash out at me. 

Anyway, it would be interesting to go back and see how other posters were treated whenever they brought up a serious, real-life subject - or dared to bring up actual reality on this board.

And is it a requirement here that every single post here must be infused with snarky humor and sarcastic witticisms?  (many of you guys seem like clones of each other  - I realize that I am "different" in the way that I am posting right now)  I am just not in the mood right now to disguise my feelings in witty soundbites.

i used to work for a rental store place when i was a teenager.  i never worried about people stealing anything.  then, one day, a couple teens, yes they were black, sole about $200 worth of shtein while i was working, snuck it out.  i got my ass chewed out and almost fired.  from then on, when i group of black teens came into the store, i was suspicious and i kept my eye on them.  was i prejudice?  no, i was remembering past experiences.  i never harrassed anybody, but i did ask to check their bookbags when they left, and i'm sure they were pissed at me, but who they should've been pissed at the were the black kids who came into the store before them, stole shtein and almost got me fired.  this would've been the same if would've been white kids, indian kids, whatever types of kids that had done it before on my watch, because they got me suspicious.  so while you will never steal anything, don't just assume everybody is a racist because they are suspicious of you in a store.  sometimes there is a good reason for people to be suspicious and that reason comes from past events.

You mean to tell me that if those teenagers who had stolen the items had been white, you would have been suspicious and watchful of every white teenager who came into that store?  Somehow I'm skeptical.   

And I suppose that if those teenagers had been white, you would have targeted the white customers only, and not suspected any black customers at all.  Yea right.

And I'm waiting for the unbiased, scientific proof that shows that black people are doing most or all of the stealing in these stores.  I think black people are simply easy targets.
