Terrible Dallas oline + Drew Bledsoe + run first offense = winners for all those who bet the under for TO's meltdown.  ;)

Fabini...I wouldn't exactly call him good. He's better than Rob petitti and Torrin Tucker.

Adams
Allen (might be cut)
Johnson/Gurode
Rivera (old+hurt)
Fabini

I tihnk Allen gets cut and they start Kosier at LG.

Lions | Harrington sabotaged team's "quarterback school"
Sat, 18 Mar 2006 10:41:45 -0800

Tom Kowalski, of MLive.com, reports Detroit Lions QB Joey Harrington played a big role in getting the team to agree to release or trade him. Several people close to the situation claim Harrington sabotaged his appearance during the team's "quarterback school" with offensive coordinator Mike Martz. During classroom sessions, Harrington put forth little effort when asked to go to the board to break down plays. He was very lethargic and uncooperative during the sessions and Martz quickly realized Harrington had no desire to be there.

What a farging douche.

Texans | Team cancels Burleson visit
Mon, 20 Mar 2006 06:03:05 -0800

John McClain, of the Houston Chronicle, reports the Houston Texans canceled their scheduled visit with restricted free agent WR Nate Burleson (Vikings). He could be involved in an expensive tug of war with the Minnesota Vikings and Seattle Seahawks.

dont laugh, but any chance for Eagles to get him?

NEVER MIND, he's restricted.  Birds will never part with a draft pick.

NFLPA attorney says Seahawks redo Jones' dealAssociated Press

SEATTLE -- The Seattle Seahawks have apparently maneuvered themselves into position to keep All-Pro guard Steve Hutchinson, an attorney for the NFL's players' union said Monday.

Hutchinson's contract was the subject of a hearing in Philadelphia where a special master was to decide how much of the Minnesota Vikings' offer the Seahawks must match to keep Hutchinson, considered a key to Seattle's run to the Super Bowl this year.

The Vikings seven-year offer included $16 million guaranteed and would be the richest deal ever given to a guard.

But the contract also contained a provision that would guarantee the entire $49 million if Hutchinson is not the team's highest-paid offensive lineman at any time after the first year of the contract. The league and the Seahawks argued on Monday that Seattle didn't have to match that provision.

But Richard Berthelsen, an attorney for the NFL Players Association who attended the hearing, told The Associated Press that the Seahawks told the special master on Monday that the team had restructured the contract of six-time Pro Bowl tackle Walter Jones, currently Seattle's highest-paid offensive linemen, to avoid the conflict.

Jones received $54.5 million -- with up to $20 million in a signing bonus and incentives -- over seven years to remain a Seahawk last April.

Berthelsen said the Seahawks told the special master that Jones had agreed to add an eighth, voidable year to his deal. That would mean Jones' annual base salary would dip to $6.81 million -- just below Hutchinson's $7 million annual average if Seattle matched Minnesota's offer. Thus, the Seahawks would not have to guarantee the rest of Hutchinson's new deal.

The Seahawks did not immediately return phone calls seeking comment.

Good for Seattle.  What a stupid provision.

it's not a stupid provision, imo.  it was a clever way of Minnesota trying to steal a player, and Seattle had an even more clever way to match the offer, good stuff.
I'm the Anti-Christ. You got me in a vendetta kind of mood.

Diomedes

Clever?  You think that's clever?  I think it's desperate.  If they really farging wanted Hutchinson, they'd have signed him to an offer sheet that Seattle couldn't afford.

Clever is for Romes.

Um, ok, whatever you say.  I wish I could care that much.

It's nice to see that the Eagles aren't the only team in the NFL that can get outmaneuvered during free agency.

I'm not done with this one.  What kind of front office hangs a mega deal for a player they supposedly REALLY want on a gimmick?  Farging idiots.  Must be something in the water in Minnesota turns people pit bull stupid.

If they wanted him that bad, they needed to pony up 56mil and be done with it.  All this story reveals is that the Vikings still aren't ready to do business for real.  What an embarrasment.
