it's fun to note that Brian Dawkins had more tackles, sacks, fumbles forced, interceptions, and passes defended than Sean Taylor last season.

Too bad you guys aren't keeping score anymore.

Compared to how many other teams he watches, he sees the taterskins a ton. Two games a year?! That's more than the one Steelers game every four years that he watches yet, somehow, he knew that Randle El was a stud. Amazing! If he knows that much from one game per four years (plus the superbowl, presumably) imagine how much he know about the taterskins players! He sees them twice a year! Who needs more of a sample than that?

rambling....needlessly wordy and almost unreadable....say what ya mean son

Agreed. I could barely read it and I wrote it.

Point: You claim to watch nothing but Eagles games. You also make wild claims and observations about players from other teams being great/awful/whatever. It doesn't add up.

Further, you almost universally put extra emphasis on how good certain Washington players are. This is not coincidence. You live in the DC area and as an Eagles fan absorb a lot of taterskins info. The problem is that since you 'only watch Eagles games' and your only other source of NFL information is the abundant Skins information being rained down on you locally, you think that Sean Taylor is a god, that Antonio Pierce was 'the truth' and that Dan Snyder is a good owner because he will spend anything to win.

In spite of an abundance of information on all three counts to refute your opinion, and in spite of your own admission that you don't really pay attention to anything outside of the Eagles, you make outlandish statements about players/teams and pass them off as fact.

In other words, you like to stir the pot (which I appluad), but you haven't sufficiently covered your ass while doing it so everyone knows that you're full of shtein and your pot-stirring is much less effective.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Let them eat bootstraps.

I dont know if this belongs here, but who the hell cares.

Anyone else find it extremely stupid that because of Portis' injury and all that stuff, national media is talking about shortening preseason? News flash idiots, Portis' injury was in the taterskins first preseason game. There's no point to bring it up shortening now when it has almost nothing to do with the situation.

i never said i watch nothing but eagle games i said i only am interested in eagle and taterskins games as i live for eagle wins and taterskin losses and have a hard time getting up for any other games...as i said on the board one time to i think ff when he accused me of not watching any other teams:

"correct...but then neither do you....at most each week you could watch a game or two more than me...thats if i watch no games other than eagles...if i happen to watch the sunday nite monday nite or an additonal sunday game then we are essentially even...but again what does this have to do with anything..."

so if you go by that then no one on here can make any statement about any players in the nfl except eagles and thats not fun for anyone...

it doesnt take a genius to know how good a player in the league is if you watch them for a few games...as ive said before give me the resources (game tape...attend workouts...travel to games...ect) and i could be just as successful a gm as reid

tell us how IGY really thinks Cochran...cmon...whats he doing on Friday?

PoopyfaceMcGee

The bottom line is that IGY = hyperbole.  And when he gets a positive opinion about anything or anyone related to the skins, we can simply lump him in with the ES fans, rinse, and repeat.

springs out hurts us.  This team has the worst back-ups in the league.  I can only think of our WRs and ladell betts that i feel comfortable starting.  I don't feel comfortable starting any of the QBs anyways but if campbell had to replace brunell to injury i don't think i would feel a big downgrade.  That leaves 3 positions we can afford injuries.  If the skins have more injuries this early they will be in big trouble.

ESPNews reports Washington taterskins CB Shawn Springs (abdominal) had abdominal surgery and will miss three to four weeks of action

That injury will only make him a better player once he returns. Just like that kid in "Rookie of the Year".

Rowengartner!!!

The same guy who did Donovan's surgery sliced on Springs.

Springs' abdominal muscle was ripped off the pubic bone. Much like Donovan last year only not as severe.

springs is pretty much done for the year....even if he plays he will be ineffective like he was for much of the second half last year

Ah, here's the rub with overspending on FAs.  No depth.  Good luck with that.
Anyone but Reid.

Rumph should be able to cancel out Baskett.

Rumph sucks.  He'll end up just another name that gets dropped in the Baskett.
