He hurt it making the tackle on the guy who picked off Brunell. Portis tried to WWE his ass and in doing so he hurt his shoulder.

x-rays negative, they are doing a MRI now.

That missed call on your cell is me going "ha ha"

Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Portis had a sublexation of his shoulder.

It separated and then went back in on its own.

They will reevaluate tomorrow. Sometimes when that happens things could be torn.

that could be an ongoing injury for the season....not good

When I came upstairs and saw you called I figured it was to laugh at how great the Gibbs boys started off.

I'm not sure how to react to this because he's on my keeper league team.

Note that I drafted many guys in the CFFFL AFC that I'd prefer to suck, but probably won't.

That is why portis is upset.  It seemed as if he was saying that he thinks he will be fine real soon but defenses will be watching and hitting that arm of his.  He is also upset that he was in the game but that was the first drive.

In case you don't remember, Portis thinks less of himself is more.  Remember before last season when he said that he was at his best with no more than 15 touches a game?  That was good stuff.

exactly.  He made some pretty stupid comments after the game, which if you want to see is on taterskins.com.  He was saying they should have taken him out after his first run.  Seemed like he was just frustrated.  But as you all know skins fans don't like it when someone says the all great one Gibbs made a mistake.  Regardless, portis sounded like a dumbass.  I think he was trying to say, in general, preseason games are not needed.  Atleast not 4.

haha, they can be idiots as long as they work out for us.  1500 yard back, 1400 yard receiver, sean taylor, and hopefully our first pick will follow suit.

Well, thanks to trading up the previous year to snag the super-awsum Jason Campbell, your first pick was really a 2nd pick... but that's neither here nor there.

Santana's not going to be happy this year - just watch.  Cooley's going to get more balls, Lloyd's going to get his, and they'll do whatever they can with Randle-el to justify his big paycheck.  Santana Moss's bubble will burst.

ice grillin you

seriously they may or may not be idiots but they are amazing football players and id take every last one of them...ill say it again tho it still amazes me that the eagles somehow found the only miami player that cant play...and they trade up for him

as for portis that injury is trouble...its what lept ray lewis out for essentially a whole year...popping in and out is one of the hallmarks of this injury and happens quite a bit if you dont get surgery...this is a terrible injury for a running back....a lb cant give hits with this injury so imagine a position where youre taking hits with it

fortunately for the skins tho hb is the one position on the team where they actually have depth...betts is one of the best back up rb in the nfl imo and you would not see a significant drop off were he to replace portis...

it still all comes down to brunnell and his inability to play the game anymore...if plays like he has for the last 9-10 games they are in big trouble...that pass he made on the interception last night is brunnell in a nutshell...theres a significant amount of throws he just cant make in this league anymore because he has no arm strength left...perhaps the new wr's are as good as everyone says and saunders is really that much better of an ofensive mind than gibbs and the combination of those two things will allow brunnell to succeed...very possible and with their defense they arent going to have to score that much...but theres also the possibility of them having another 04 season where for like half the seaosn brunnell literally couldnt get a first down and even with a top 5 d they went 6-10....hopefully thats the case again
i can take a phrase thats rarely heard...flip it....now its a daily word

igy gettin it done like warrick

im the board pharmacist....always one step above yous

Brunell(and the other QBs) looked like shtein yesterday.  I have gone to most of the training camps and the first week brunell looked worse than he did yesterday.  The second week of camp he looked much better.

The starting defense looked better than i expected yesterday but the offense looked horrible.  The main problem with the skins is depth.  YOu are right about the skins having depth at RB and they also do at WR(for this reason you will probably see taylor jacobs practicing with the eagles soon) but outside of that if the starters go down we are introuble at any position.  Even with the depth we couldn't afford an injury to santana or clinton .  The skins' backups all suck.  The backup o-line is probably the worst number 2 o line group in the league, which just makes them slightly worse than the dallas starters.  With an injury free season i can see the team going far but we all know that never happens.

Yesterday Carter, the RB, injured his leg and i guess he is out for the season.  Jesse lumsden is a back-up RB that i am interested in seeing.  He looks really good in practice.
