I just looked at about 20 different 2005 mock drafts and they all had Campbell slipping to 50 or lower  :-D
Mock drafts are teh awesome.
Cleveland took the 4th QB.  They would have taken Campbell if he was there.  Only you people can't figure that out.

About the only thing you can say about that trade was they telegraphed their intentions.
Talking value is not that big a deal.  Trading 1st rounders for a 2005 3rd and 2006 4th.  The 3rd and 4th value getting the pick one year earlier.

But we've got charts to figure out how valuable people are. :-D :-D
The charts are a guideline.
Anything that doesn't factor in the value of having a player on your roster for an extra year if farging bullshtein.

This is why we point and laugh at you, because only your fans are dumb enough to defend that trade  :-D

You're supposed to cite where you find cold hard facts like that one.  For example it should say:

"They would have taken Campbell if he was there.  Only you people can't figure that out." -- my delusional brain

PoopyfaceMcGee

Many scouts believed Frye to be better than Campbell... some significantly so.

From the Washington Post

QuoteWith most NFL analysts believing this weekend's draft is one of the weakest in memory, the Washington taterskins yesterday surprisingly traded their No. 1 pick next season and two other picks to the Denver Broncos for the 25th overall selection Saturday.

The Broncos will also get Washington's third-round pick this season and its fourth-round pick in 2006. The deal leaves the taterskins with only two picks on Saturday: the ninth and 25th.

Coach and team president Joe Gibbs was not at taterskins Park yesterday and was unavailable to comment.

"That's a pretty steep price to pay for [pick] number 25," one NFL executive said. "They must be up to something else."

Guess an NFL executive was wrong too.

LMAO.  That deserved a double post.

Not that some people didn't think that, just that history will prove them wrong.

If you could tell me Monday's lottery numbers that would help a bunch. Thanks.

Right.  Campbell has looked great against NFL competition.  He's the real deal.

How can you possibly know, spanky?

That was more based on Frye.

PoopyfaceMcGee

Alex Smith and Aaron Rodgers, both widely believed to be far superior to Jason Campbell going into last year's draft, both either looked like warm vomit (Smith) or didn't really play (Rodgers).

Some would say Frye looked better than either of those guys in limited action, so what's your point?

Because I'm sure you've seen so much of Campbell to know he's better.
