The Skins made their schedule look hard, too.  Especially the playoffs.
And the eagles made the cowboys look good  ::)

The Skins made them look good for 3 and a half quarters or so too...

Week 2.  Ah.... good times.

I think it's time to start fresh for 2006.

Recap:

-The fans have hope for the future due to a playoff win in which the offense set futility records.
-The star young safety is a complete thug and is facing 40+ years in prison.
-They've thrown millions at assistant coaches, proving the Gibbs/figurehead theory.
--(Peter King loves this move and has already declared the Skins off-season CHAMPS! Please ban me, I have nothing to contribute.!)
-The comedy if they would sign Terrell Owens would be too much to take.
-They will fight for the Cowboys for last place in the division in the 2006 season, whether they like it or not.
-Art is practicing his fellatio techniques and is hoping to make 2006 more productive for sucking off Dan Snyder, Joe Gibbs, Al Saunders, Gregg Williams, Jerry Gray, Jason Campbell, Clinton Portis, Marcus Washington, and Sean Taylor... sucky sucky sucky.  Barf.

Discuss.

Oh, and farg the Skins and all their fans.

You Eagle fans crack me up, no wonder you have a reputation for being the dumbest fans in the NFL.  Let's go point by point here:

- The fans have hope for the future because we have a 1500 yard RB, a top 10 defense two years in a row, a 1400 yard WR, a 60 catch TE, a strong offensive line, and a quarterback who knows how to manage a game.

- The star young safety is a thug, but that's fine with me considering how scared Todd Pinkston is around him.  Nice alligator arms.  And no, he won't do any time in jail, the Florida DA doesn't have the evidence.

- Gibbs may be running the team as a figurehead, but at least he's doing something to make the team better.  Unlike Andy Reid who just named Marty Morningwheg offensive coordinator.  Are you serious??  Marty Morningwheg???

- Who in their right mind thinks the Skins will actually sign Owens?  Gibbs is not as stupid as Andy Reid.

And lastly, the Eagles let Derrick Burgess go.  Just brilliant.  They have a fractured locker room in the wake of Owens' departure.  They have MARTY MORNINGWHEG as offensive coordinator.  They have no defensive line because Kearse is way overrated.

MadMarchHare

Again, you Skins fans seem way too sensitive.
Need another moist towlette?
Anyone but Reid.

ice grillin you

and a quarterback who knows how to manage a game

Oh yeah?  Is that what it's like in your little world on ES?

Even commentators and players that hate Philly and us fans admit that we're much more knowledgeable than most fan bases, including Washington's by far.  Don't mind us; go ahead and stick your head back up your ass.

No doubt, I'd rather have Donovan McNabb than Mark Brunell.  But Brunell did toss 23 TDs and 11 INTs on the season.  You can make fun of a 36 year old game managing QB if you want, but the bottom line is Brunell is not a weakness of the team.  I wouldn't call Brunell a strength like the defense or Portis, but he's definitely not a liability.

The main point to take home is this thread is absolutely absurd.  Point and laugh at the Skins?  From where the Eagles are sitting right now, I don't think you guys should be pointing and laughing at anybody.  You defensive line is a liability, you have NO power running game whatsoever, Reggie Brown is your best receiver, Brian Dawkins is on the wrong side of 30, you just lost Brad Childress and replaced him with someone who is much worse, and parts of your offensive line are downright atrocious.  Plus, the locker room is split down the middle.

I suppose this thread was created to make you guys feel better about your team being in such crappy shape.  I guess you need something to make you feel better now that you're realizing that the Eagles' window of opportunity is closing and they don't even have a SB win to show for it.

LOL LOL LOL

Are you serious??  You turn on your own team in a heartbeat.  I heard people calling into WIP and calling for McNabb's head after some of those conference championship losses a few years ago.  What's worse, Cataldi agreed!

If the team listened to the fans and got rid of McNabb a few years ago, the Eagles would be nowhere.  He's all you have at this point.

If you're so knowledgable, it sure doesn't show.  I guess you're too busy filling your blood stream with alcohol in the Linc's parking to know smart football when you see it.  Because at the games, it sure does not show.

By the way, is this the best you can come up with?  You're going to essentially tell me to go to hell instead of telling me why I'm wrong about the Skins' future?  If you're such a smart fanbase, surely you guys can come up with some legitimate reasons why the Skins will be bad next year.  At least something better than "Peter King said you'd be good, so that means you'll suck."

Come on, I'm all ears.  After all, your fan base is smarter than mine, you should be able to put me in my place easily.

Did you just call one of our free agent signings overrated :-D :-D

We criticize our team, not just suck up to them and bow down to the coach like some of you.

Exactly.  We aren't afraid to criticize when it is obviously a situation to do so, whereas ES fans simply suckle at the teet of Danny Snyder and Joe Gibbs and refuse to believe that any decision they make could be in error.

Yes, which one of the personnel moves under the Gibbs regime is overrated:

Cornelius Griffin
Shawn Springs
Marcus Washington
Sean Taylor
Carlos Rogers
Chris Cooley
Mark Brunell
Clinton Portis
Joe Salave'a
Phillip Daniels

How'd we do from that, I ask you?  How have things gone with Owens and Kearse?  Doesn't make sense to rag on Dan Snyder's spending spree of 2000.  That was 5 years ago.

Actually I'm not from ES and I share your opinion of ES in general.  I'm from TheWarpath.net, it's a much better site where we do actually question and criticize the team, and we're in no way affiliated with the team.

I just find it strange that you would start a thread "pointing and laughing" at the Washington taterskins when they're so obviously in great shape for another playoff berth next season.  If you're so knowledgable, hit me with some serious reasoning for that.

MDS

What an idiotic arguement. We have obviously come upon another delusional, blindly supportive Skins fans who thinks Mike McMahon and Koy Detmer represent the QB position on this team. Donovan McNabb is one of the best QB's in the league. Criticize him all you want, I'd only take Brady over him. If he happens to play next season without a sports hernia, I find it impossible to believe he will not win at least 10 games.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

PoopyfaceMcGee

Taylor, Rogers, Cooley aren't free agents.  There's been plenty of stinker draft picks mixed in, and Taylor and Rogers were top-10 picks, so they better be damn good.  Considering Taylor is a punk who will always be in and out of trouble and you don't know much about Rogers yet, I'd hold off on bragging too much.  I like Cooley, though.  Good player.

Springs is overpaid and always seems to be hurt when it counts.
Brunell has had half a good season in 2 years, and it wouldn't appear he's going to be BETTER next year.
The Skins would be better off with Bailey and the pick they gave up.  Bailey is still probably the best overall cornerback in the NFL.  Portis is a good player, but I still don't think he's the best fit for a Gibbs offense.

However,
The DL pickups you mentioned have proven very serviceable.  They get the job done, definitely.
Also, you didn't mention possibly the best deal under the Gibbs regime, which was unloading Coles and getting Moss.  That move turned out better than even the most homertastic Skins fans could have hoped.  That said... who's going to get him the ball next year?

SunMo

a couple more LOL's would've really made your point
I'm the Anti-Christ. You got me in a vendetta kind of mood.
