About the Betts deal- down here mostly every talk show is bashing it (even Danny's bought and paid for XXXESPN horseshtein propaganda shows). The argument is that they gave Betts borderline starting money, when they had until March to get something done and see if he continued to have success. He has had two good games against poor/average run defenses, and in the five years he's been a skin hasn't really ever showed himself to be a consistently above average back in the league. Plus, they have Portis, so with Portis healthy, Betts figures to get about five touches a game. I personally think this will go down as a bad move. If they planned on using Betts to split the workload with Portis, or to phase him out, then it would be smart, but I think that won't be the case.

I think it's super awesome that they extended Betts while the guy they gave up a first day draft pick for can barely find his way onto the active roster.
