Quote9:30 a.m. -- In the press lounge chilling. Waiting for food. Giants stadium is WAY behind. No seating chart. No food out. No coffee. When the chart arrives, NO INTERNET. And I think it's STILL down, though I can type through VPN. Sonny joins us with some others. Vinny too. Sonny jokes about what if they shoot T.O. in Philly. Someone offers it wouldn't be a bad thing . I explain to Vinny that we want Dallas to lose. We never want them to win .

Tool.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

taterskins losing + Eagles winning = time to get even drunker

Throw in highlights of Art getting decapatated and you've got a party.

The Eagles can never win a game without the refs help according to Bubba.

That fool is a joke.

Why the 'skins offense is better than the Eagles:
QuoteLets see

QB- eagles

RB- taterskins

TE- taterskins (though close)

OL- taterskins

WR- taterskins

Depth- taterskins

The Eagles are #1 in the NFL by playing not one defense above a #24 ranking

#24, #27, #31 & #32

The Skins are #3, having played 3 defenses ranked in the top 10

#3 (dropped after losing to the Skins to #14) #5, #10, and #32

hmmmm how could anyone think the Skins could be better on offense

How's that offensive doing now, Bubba? :-D

Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Washington Post; Duckett active but sees no snaps; Lloyd not doing anything

QuoteRunning back T.J. Duckett was active Sunday for the first time since Week 2, but once again did not get on the field, while wide receiver David Patten was scratched from the lineup.

Duckett, a short-yardage specialist, was acquired from Atlanta in the preseason for the equivalent of a high third-round pick but has appeared in only one game, when he carried five times. Sunday was the second time he was in uniform for a game but never entered it

QuoteWide receiver Brandon Lloyd, who was acquired from San Francisco in the offseason for two draft picks and signed to a long-term contract extension in April, is still looking for his first impact game with the taterskins. Lloyd was held without a catch Sunday and has six catches for 75 yards this season.

Lloyd has yet to catch more than three balls in a game or amass even 50 yards in a game. He was held without a catch for the second time this season and Washington had just 109 passing yards.

"You can't sit there and cry about it and be selfish about it," wide receiver Santana Moss said. "You've got to wait your turn and wait to get that chance. The opportunities today were very slim."

QuoteGiants running back Brandon Jacobs claimed the taterskins use dirty tactics and accused Sean Taylor of "hitting between the legs and stuff like that. I don't buy those kind of things." He said that Omar Stoutmire spat on him last year. Taylor, fined by the NFL for spitting in a playoff game against Tampa Bay in January, did not comment after the game. . . .

NY Daily News; taterskins Playing Dirty

QuoteBrandon Jacobs and Rich Seubert can't wait to see the taterskins again at the end of the season. And it has very little to do with the Giants' easy 19-3 home win over Washington yesterday.

Jacobs and Seubert accused the taterskins of being a classless, dirty team, and both had words with Washington safety Sean Taylor in the tunnel as the two teams went back to their respective lockers.

"I felt that this was a dirty team from last year," said Jacobs, who claims that former taterskins cornerback Omar Stoutmire spit at him in a game last season. "They spit in my face last year."

Jacobs went on to say that the taterskins try to injure players with cheap shots and low blows.

"It was team-wide," Jacobs said. "It seems like they teach it. We are a pretty high-class team. We don't do anything like that. I don't play like that. It just makes me mad when people do it to me. Be professional. That is high school, you don't do that in college. That is for high school."

Jacobs and Taylor were jawing at each other during the game. At the end, as the Giants were taking a knee to run the clock out, Seubert said the taterskins aggressively attacked the line instead of backing off.

"Shows their class," said Seubert, who initially declined to say much about the taterskins. "Watch the tape."

In the tunnel after the game, Seubert yelled at Taylor, "See you in a few weeks." That was the clean version of it.

Jacobs also exchanged some words with Taylor, telling him, "You're a DB, not a LB."

Taylor is known for his hard hitting but also for crossing the line at times. He spit on Tampa Bay running back Michael Pittman in the playoffs last year and lied about doing so afterward. Taylor ignored questions from reporters after the loss to the Giants.

Jacobs, however, hammered the taterskins and their coaching staff.

"(The taterskins) didn't spit this year but (they) tried to do everything else," Jacobs said of the team the Giants won't face again until Dec. 30. "Twisting ankles, hitting between the legs and stuff like that. I don't buy those kind of things. I'm not a dirty player. I might talk a little bit but not twist any ankles or hit anybody in the groin."

Shut up. My skins aren't done. Ask this guy.

QuoteOur last game in October will be against the Colts, Oct. 22nd. Although it appears that we might lose this game, it's still not the end of the season. The worst we could end up, by the end of Oct., is 2-5, considering if we lose both to the Titans and Colts. However, I do think we will win both games!

Now, when it comes to playing in the months of November and December, Joe Gibbs' track record reflects a positive outcome. Remember last year when the taterskins won their last six games of the season, including one playoff game, that was very impressive, wasn't it?

It doesn't stop at last year, but other winning seasons Joe Gibbs had, during his first era, also reflects a positive outcome in the month of November and December. History will repeat itself!

Once we come back from our break our first game is against the Cowboys on Nov. 5th, at FedExField. Of the last nine games, five of them are at home. I still believe we can end up at 11-5 this season.

HTTR!

Quote2-3, last place, and right on track
Looking at the schedule back in July, I fully expected this team to be 2-3 right now -- and on track for the playoffs. The way they got to 2-3 is unexpected (I thought they'd beat Minny and lose to the Jags), but the record isn't.

The road ahead ain't all that bad. The Skins have to win all their home games in the NFC East and can't afford to lay another egg like they did yesterday, but they have a real shot at the playoffs. Brunell has to be more consistent, the playcalling must improve, the defense has to tackle, and the whole team needs a good kick in the ass to fire them up, but we're right on track.

In the next 11 games, the Skins have to beat Tennessee, Dallas, Philly (at FedEx), Giants, TB, New Orleans, St Louis. That's 9 wins. The two game road stretch at NO and St Louis will be tough, but they'll be exposed as pretenders by then.

The Skins will almost certainly lose to Indy and @ Philly.

That leaves Carolina and Atlanta as the toss-ups. Win one of those and they're in the playoffs. Lose both, and they're not. Both home games, so I like our chances.

So...the team has to do basically a 180 to make the playoffs?

Yep, right on track.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

That's true, they're right on track for 6-10.
