Bowl Ban lifted immediately and all scholarships back next year.

i can't believe both happened, i thought it would be one or the other
I'm the Anti-Christ. You got me in a vendetta kind of mood.

cool i guess all those kids sandusky fondled and all the "nothing to see here" reactions the administration gave amounted to a lot

money football central pennsylvania trash money football central pennsylvania trash
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

SD

The bowl ban was dumb because you're punishing fans and kids who had nothing to do with it. I agree a harsh punishment was warranted, but why not make Penn State give all the proceeds/winning from the bowl games to a charity.

MDS

why not just disband the program?

the ncaa is a cartel....the players are pawns with no rights....therefore they have no right to do anything but do what the ncaa says...and farg the fans. most of them still think joe pa is an angel in heaven right now.

that school and its hillbilly residents can eat sandusky's poop dick

I'm really uncomfortable agreeing with Todd, but he's right in this case.

Seconded. I recently got into it with some dude about poor old JoePa and how the mean old NCAA trampled all over his legacy. The astronomical lack of perspective it takes to even give a second thought to Joe farging Paterno in the context of decades of child abuse made me spit nails.

Also, go Lions. I mean, who am I kidding? I can't wait to see them get back to losing bowl games.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Let them eat bootstraps.

i think bombs should be dropped on the previous admin and honestly more people should be in jail...i think joe was a football obsessed pos...i was all for the original sanctions

at the same time i don't have a problem with todays decision and i agree with sd that there are much better ways to punish the school while helping victims than to take away some scholorships and bowls from the current football team

oh those poor baby football players...such precious lives....give them presents and gifts!

yea its not fair that people get punished for other people's actions but the ncaa is a farce. really penn st is lucky to be playing football games at all...they shouldve shut shtein down for 2 years and just let the community and everyone there re-evaluate priorities. exponentially, football and winning trumped the safety of 12 year old boys. alabama, usc, lsu, florida, etc. all wouldve done the same. penn state isnt alone. but it happened to them, and they needed to pay.

they barely did.

i read shtein all day from clueless morons who said something to the effect that they shouldn't have faced any disciplinary action.

i mean, are you farging kidding me?  they aided and abetted a goddamn serial child rapist then covered it up for a decade.  i don't care if the athletes that attend the school now were affected by shuttering the program.  every last one of them can find another school to play for and the coaches can find other programs to coach at.  i'd feel bad for the rank & file workers at the stadium, but in the end the hammer had to be dropped on the program.  as it is they got away with a 2 year slap on the wrist.

it's disgusting.

MDS

the players had the option to leave/not go there....for coaches its just a job. whatever. none of them are in any place to complain.

the people hurt are the business owners around the area that make a good bulk of their money off of home game weekends. it sucks for them, but when your business model revolves around the performance of a football team, theres going to ebbs and flows to it. bidness be bidness, life goes on.

spanier schultz and curley ending up in prison with sandusky is far more important than how many scholarships james franklin has next year
