you think im kidding...give me a scouting dept and all the available film and travel expenses i need to see these kids and i could evaluate them as good or better than andy reid...any of us could

Actually, you probably could.

The same thing can be said for picking stocks too. You can have a retarded chipmunk randomly crap on stock symbols & there is a good chance they would pick as good or better than the experts. I wouldn't be so proud.  ;)

Following the week of Senior Bowl practices, there have been some changes to my first-round projection for the 2006 NFL draft. There are 14 underclassmen in this week's projected first round, three fewer than last week.

The top-six picks remain the same, but the one newcomer to the top 10 is Texas defensive back Michael Huff. Right now I have him projected to land in San Francisco, which has the seventh overall pick. What I like about Huff is his versatility because he can player either cornerback or safety.

This projected pick reminds me of what the 49ers did in 1981 in a similar situation. In the '81 draft, the 49ers had the eighth overall pick and selected another versatile defensive back, USC's Ronnie Lott.

I will submit another first-round projection following the NFL Combine, which is Feb. 22-28 in Indianapolis.

Drafting another offensive lineman in the first round?

Yay!

:P

rjs246

Dude. The offensive and defensive lines both need help. The team could be losing one or both tackles. Picking someone for either line or a linebacker makes perfect sense.

I know! Its not like we need desperate help on the oline or anything.  ::)

the tackles, especially the blind-side tackle, is almost as critical to an offense's success as the quarterback himself.

right now, they have a right tackle who is a 32 year old FA and a left tackle who has back problems.  they need to get a young stud that can be a mainstay on the Oline for years.

theyve taken seven offensive lineman in the last two years....where the hell are they all???

winston justice isnt ready to step in an start on a playoff/sb caliber team...if hes ready to start at all

the defensive front seven is an abomination...thats where help is needed most

outside of cornerback and quarterback at 14 id almost take any position over offensive line

lol...so, you're comparing the late round OL selections to a potential top 15 pick?
