I thought so after the 3rd quarter but was baffled by the show the Sixers put on in the 4th. Still, a win is a win. Up only $5 with Packers remaining to close out the week.

Crazy... the Sixers are 31-17-1 ATS this year (best in the NBA).

After years of clicking in every thread just to see if something interesting had been discussed I have finally started picking and choosing the threads I read. I thank this particular thread for that change. I kept making the godawful mistake of clicking in here and hoping to find something interesting. Never did. I'm a slow learner, but a learner none the less.

Thank you for pounding this horribly boring thread with useless posts for months on end. It's been the first step towards breaking me of my CF addiction.

it would be a lot better if people picked out certain games they really liked and we disscused why....instead it morphed into people talking about their 11 game parlays and even worse how they ended up doing...gambling talk should center around why you make a bet not how it ended up...the exception would be a suspect finish to a game...like boston college going (+16.5) going for a garbage layup with no time left down by 18


no one believes half the shtein people say about their winnings anyway....in addition to that no one discusses anything...they just wanna spout off about their own bets...these last two points go to the larger picture of the same old thing...people are full of two things: 1. shtein 2. themselves

I really like UVA +8.5 and UNLV +7.5 today. Miami is not particularly good, and UVA can play them tight, maybe even win. I added a small nugget on UVA ml (+335). UNLV is a solid team up against the Jimmer Fredette hype train. In fact I would say that fading Jimmer would generally be a good play until he turns in a real stinker of a performance.

Packers at -3 are getting even money now on Sportsbook.  Went with that, though I don't have a real feel for the over/under.  45 is an odd amount here.

i think 45 is a perfect number...its right in the middle of two good defenses and the packers being able to score 30 by themselves

i think that number all depends on how the packers start the game...if they come out with superbowl nerves/adrenaline and struggle in the first quarter/half then under...if none of that exists and they score on one of their first possesions then its over

Went with GB -3 at even money and Mendenhall to score the first TD at +600.

Injuries in GB's secondary killed any hope of the under. I ended up breaking even overall.

Ok, so I'm up $10 thanks to the Packers. I am going to roll with Pitt in a pick 'em tonight at WVU. Still haven't decided if I want to bet the game for real money, but I like the better team to take out the home team, even though it burnt me last week in Kentucky at Florida.
