Those aren't Rodgers' stats--they're Alex Smith's from the 49ers. McCarthy's work is dubious at best--

In '99, Favre had a bad year, as did the Pack in their only year under Ray Rhodes, at 8-8. Supporters pointed to Favre's thumb injury as to why he had a bad year.

From 2000-04, he was the OC at New Orleans. Aaron Brooks came in for Blake and took the Saints to their first ever playoff win, but that's been the highlight of Brooks' career. I was reading an article yesterday which said that McCarthy just couldn't seem to get through to him.

Alex Smith is his latest project. Heck, even McNabb, under Reid threw 8 TDs and 7 INTs in his rookie year, where he played 6 games.

34 frickin' years old. Damn. Is that the youngest HC ever? I remember Mora and Gruden were pretty young (37 and 38, I think) when they got their HC jobs. I can't think of anyone younger than that.
